Hi,

I'm just of the phone to them, as I have sent my child's private diagnosis today. Which confirms autisum. I sent to day next day delivery. They said it is with the DM. After waiting so long I'm not sure if I would like a extra day or 2 now. So they have more evidence.

My Scan date is the 10th August

My scan date is 10th too. Hoping for an update soon

I phoned this morning , The disison was made yesterday awarded HRC LRM . No text. The lady was lovely and told me everything about how payments will work x

I rang at 4:30 and sat on hold for 20 minutes then got cut off so another day gone by. Been with DM 4 working days now

Asd diagnosis report , loss of hearing report . Statement from school and extra pages telling them about the day to day struggles . Thank you , hope you hear something soon xx

I send the original Autism diagnosis which was a 10 page document, school
assessments, speech and language report and a questionnaire completed by us around his original diagnosis x

Does anyone know if or when approved how long it usually takes to receive your first payment? Thanks

No not yet, my scan date was 11th Aug not sure whether to yet?

If it’s approved I think first payment is 3-5 working days

@Gemma96x No hun I didn't get a text. She said I'd get the letter and payment can take 3-5 days. x

anyone with a scan date of 11/08/22 had a decision yet?

Scan date 5th Aug, not had no text, payment pending in account, not sure on rates will wait for letter as don't have time to wait on hold with them, good luck to you all x

@Colettet my scan date is the 11/08 !! I rang Monday and was told I would be one of the next decisions they make so I'm assuming that means with the decision maker ? But then reading everything here I'm not sure they know what they are doing

i need help guys. I don’t think school will back up what I’ve said due to masking. I spoke with teacher yesterday and she said she cannot see a problem with behaviour. It’s so frustrating as his behaviour at home is so bad

Just for context on timeline for people my scan date was 2nd August it went to decision maker on 4th November awarded on 7th November. I did get a text saying awarded and called up to find out rates. Hrc lrm. I still haven’t received a letter. My back payment arrived today backdated to scan date. I did print the forms myself so had no call date. I sent in lots of evidence from gps school specialists and got school send to write on the form too. So 1 day shy of 14 week wait , text confirmation of award and three working days after for payment.

Masking is extremely common within ASD children. Are the school aware that at home you have lots of issues? Does your child require any extra support in school at all? I actually work within a school and there are many children who mask and when they get home they are completely different children. The school is aware of this and support the parents as they can. I believe as long as the school are aware that he/she is masking they should be supportive regardless x

He is under senco and we’re awaiting referral for occupational therapist. It’s just his new teacher doesn’t seem to see it all. He also has an iep in place

Honestly don’t worry about school, if he is under the senco and has an iep in place that is more than most children. As long as they are supporting you and your child that’s all that matters. It is extremely common for children to mask within school as it’s not their safe area and when they get home they explode. Any senco teacher should be well aware of this but be supporting you and your child regardless x
