DLA Wait Times Part 5 2022

I created a new thread as the old one is reaching its limit.

Does anybody know the address to send extra evidence to? Xx

Do you get a text if declined? Mine was passed to DM last Thursday (5/8 scan date). Don’t really want to call again and don’t have time to sit for 45 mins on hold.

I don't no I still heard nothing x

3rd august and nothing don't think my son will be awarded xx

@Gemma96x Try not to get disheartened. I know if you think you'll be declined it will be a real boost if you're not, but try and stay positive. I know the waiting is hard! Even if you are though, I think MR has good success rates. I'm sure you'll hear this week, and I'm sure it will be good news x

@Mummytosixgirls I used the address on my acknowledgement letter...I think. Sent it recorded and then followed up with a phone call to make sure it had been received and recorded on the application and they'd got it.

@Gemma96x No net yet but I'm hoping this week. That's if the lady that told me it's now with a DM was correct! I'm the world's most impatient person so I feel everyone's pain! I got confirmation yesterday that my son is now finally on the local authority NDD pathway for assessment (we had a private one in July because he was struggling so much at school, but our GP refuses shared care) and I'm wondering whether to call them but if there's not time to send the letter I don't know if me just telling them will make any difference. Hopefully have sent enough with his referral paperwork completed by SENDCO and his other stuff. Will find out soon I guess!

I didn't have the senco teacher for my son because she had already left the school by time I did my sons claim and school didn't fill out there section either I just have my sons autism dsm-5 diagnosis report that I sent it. When Is your scan date xx

@Gemma96x Scan date is 8th August. Our school sendco was temporary and now it's the nursery teacher who my son never had as he went elsewhere, and he's on medication now so his current teacher has never seen him without it so she won't have much idea if they were to call her either. He still has areas where he struggles, as I suspect there's more than just his Adhd and the ground he has to make up from making such little progress in his first two years of school, but he's very different in the classroom this school year compared to before. Meds are great but they don't help him outside of school, as they don't kick in until we're out the door in the morning, worn off by the evening, and he doesn't take them at weekends! So will be interesting if they do decide to contact anyone to confirm what I've sent them!

Hi I’m a long time lurker and first time poster here 😊
my scan date is the 11th august I’ve just got off the phone and the lady said ‘mine will be one of the next decisions to be made’ so I’m taking that as with the decision maker ?
min a little nervous after reading here as I only sent the pedatricians letter and a letter to the speach and language for referal as she felt he needed another assessment for ADHD traits.
I know if they ring school they will 100% support my application as they have been great at supporting my son when he struggles and are very understanding! Can’t help but feel anxious it’s such a long time to wait if it’s a big fat no!
anyone else similar date to mine ?

@Gemma96x did they tell you any updates? The lady I spoke to was so vague

Yes mine been allocated to someone to be looked at but she was asking if I had anymore information to send it which I told her I only have my sons asd report so that felt abit strange x

Just wondering if u should nip to school and tell them I've put a claim in for dla for my son or not xx

@Gemma96x what's you're scan date? Not much longer now hopefully! I'd let them know ! I think it helps if they are expecting that call...

Hi all,

My scan date was 5th August and I rang this morning and was told a decision was made yesterday. My son has been awarded MRC until 2024 I am absolutely made up. I sent 2 speech & language reports, consultant report, statement from his nursery (he’s in a SEND nursery) and statement from my mother-in-law about caring for him.

Just got off the phone. Scan date 10th Aug, should be with the decision maker either later this week or early next week. I sent loads of evidence, but panicking that I didn’t do good enough with the forms. Fingers crossed to you all

@Gemma96x school should understand that masking in school is massively common. Tell them this and that you want to report you're concerns to them so they are aware and included.

Yes I was told this week- next at latest and my scan date is the 11th !
