@Leah041196 am so pleased for you! I’m currently 3 weeks into waiting for outcome of an MR. Got declined in September after waiting since June. All this waiting is making me so anxious and I’m preparing myself for another no. But you’ve given me hope so thank you :)

The waiting is the worst part! The process is so long in itself but I’m so glad I went through with the MR I almost lost hope to fingers crossed it’s not long for you and your child gets what they deserve :)

Skulldrudgery · 07/11/2022 18:05

Hi everyone. I posted my form 11th October and haven’t had any notification that they’ve received it yet. Are the notifications also taking longer than usual, does anyone know? I can’t easily spare 40mins on hold to check …

MichelleG78 · 07/11/2022 18:09

@Leah041196 thank you so much, I’m glad the wait is over for you x

Hi I got a letter back after 2 weeks to say they received it

Kdmumofgirls · 07/11/2022 18:13

Asd report supporting letters from school and my younger daughter school as her behaviour effects her. Always remember your doing your best and always will for your child . X

Jodie751 · 07/11/2022 19:54

@Skulldrudgery hi, I sent mine off on the 6th of December and I never got a text or letter stating that they had received them, I had to ring up and check. I waited just over two weeks I think before I called them, the first time I called they said they didn’t have them. I called again a few days later and was told they had them and they had been scanned on the 12th of October

Skulldrudgery · 07/11/2022 20:34

Thanks guys, I’ll give them a call. I did get proof of postage but didn’t track it

Mummyjustmummy · 07/11/2022 20:40

@Skulldrudgery i sent mine on the 12th October and still haven’t received any letter to say they have scanned it but I called today to double check and they said they recieved them on the 13th but they hadn’t been registered on the system. I’m assuming that meant scanned. But ours was for a renewal so May work differently to a new claim

Shellbod81 · 07/11/2022 21:27

@Gemma96x he did explain a few reasons but I couldn’t really listen as was a bit gutted …I heard him so that my son goes to a mainstream school with no care plan in place and something about there being no evidence of physiotherapy even tho I send the pyshio referral letter In which I am still waiting for his appointment….don’t let mine dishearten you , they are completely different cases and I’ve seen loads like you just sent the diagnosis letter in and got awarded ….I will do the MR but will defo send more evidence in and get help filling it all in correctly with diary evidence etc xx

Same my son has no care plan at school x

Kloe13 · 07/11/2022 23:25

Mine doesn’t have a care plan at school either and got awarded! Try not to stress too much. I wrote pages and pages of stuff about the struggles we have, is that helps

What evidence did you send? Xx

Shellbod81 · 08/11/2022 07:49

see dosnt make sense , the no care plan in a mainstream school was one of my main reasons for a decline , all down to whoever’s desk it lands on!! I never got the ‘someone who knows you’ to fill in the original from , think that was a mistake ….I am new to all this , definitely gonna get some help filling in the MR form ….good luck to Everyone waiting results today xx

Shellbod81 · 08/11/2022 07:56

He also said mine wasn’t consistent (my son has HSP - an auto immune vascilulitis disease where his blood vessels leak through his body) so dosnt struggle with care day to day …which is why I’ll be sending in a diary with photos of his constant rashes , bruising and swelling which causes him to be to laid up for days on end , please don’t let mine dishearten you , many cases on here are completely different….I will fight it with MR! Xx

I also didn't have that part filled out by the school due to the senco teacher was leaving the school by time I got the forms x

Shellbel10 · 08/11/2022 09:07

I also feel it’s whoever’s desk it lands on. Very inconsistent

Mercury84 · 08/11/2022 09:24

Morning all,

I've been watching the thread but new to commenting. Our scan date was 3rd August. Our case went to DM last week and decision was made Thursday.

I sent just the diagnosis report, but referenced specialist nurses and speech therapy contacts. We do not have an EHCP with the school as yet. We received an ASD diagnosis in June.

My child has been awarded lower rate mobility and mid rate care, with payment generated today.

I work for civil service and am familiar with their payment systems, so am expecting payment to hit our account in 3-5 working days.

I have since updated my UC account also, as we are now entitled to the uplift to UC of £132. If you receive UC, just a reminder to update and ask them to backdate to the effective date of your DLA.

Hope this is helpful, good luck to everyone still waiting x

Mercury84 · 08/11/2022 09:29

They appear to be allocating work to different teams according to ref/NI number. So it will depend which team it goes to, as some will still be working 2nd August scan, while another team is on 3rd or 4th. When I gave them our reference number the chap automatically said it meant it would be with the 'DLM' team...no idea what that means, but some teams may be getting through them faster than others.
