DLA Wait Times Part 5 2022

Hi,

I created a new thread as the old one is reaching its limit.

It's frustrating having to start the wait time again. I'm anxious as I didn't send any evidence. If they contact the school my dc SEN teacher can back up what I've put down on the form. X

Does anyone know what the mandatory reconsideration process is and how long it takes. I feel we’re not going to be awarded

@Shellbel10 you have 1 month from receiving the decline letter to do an MR ….this gives you the chance to send in more evidence and do a report stating why you disagree with decisions made on the letter …someone different will look at your claim (so a 2nd opinion really) …the MR will take approx 4-5 weeks at present ….failing this it will then go to an appeal which are taking at least 6 months right now 😭……fingers crossed to anyone waiting on a decision from the weekend team today if anyone gets a txt can you let us know please this wait is making me so anxious! Xx

I’ve just been to the post office to post more evidence! I didn’t have it all because I’m still waiting for something from his OT and the GP but they are taking a very long time and I wanted to submit what I have incase I don’t get the others on time! 22nd of august is my scan date 😣. If I receive the other evidence next week I will post that separately asap.x

I’m just praying for Monday this whole waiting game is stressful between checking phone and jumping on the postman it’s hard to concentrate on other things as they just leave dyou completely in the dark

Yea they do when I last phoned them I was told they working over the weekend a overtime team and that mine should be looked at over this weekend but not giving it much hope to be honest as I'm 3rd Aug so 14 weeks now also I worried with the lack of evidence coz I only sent my sons autism diagnosis report and nothing else. My scan date is mid July and I have heard nothing and tbh I don’t think the call centre is very helpful at all

I've been following for a while, scan date 5th Aug, not heard anything apart from a letter Sept 2nd to say sorry they've not given a decision yet.... My son is 11 almost 12 finally diagnosed in January 2022 DSM-5...struggled for years and was advised to apply recently....dont have much faith for a positive outcome.... I sent his full diagnosis x

@Autismmum123 my scan date was 27th July and I only got awarded on Wednesday, my son was DSM -5 and I only sent in his diagnosis report, you should hear something soon, fingers crossed for you x

Thank you, I hope so, really struggling to meet his needs atm, I'm self employed and finding things difficult, I'm glad you had a positive outcome x
