MaureenMLove · 17/05/2007 14:31

Mines quite good too. He cooks, most nights and he's good with his hands! He doesn't do Spiderman when drunk tho, just slobbers in my ear 'I really love you, yknow and we're alright aren't we?'

fifilou · 17/05/2007 14:34

crace · 17/05/2007 14:40

No, but his farm yard animals are not to be beaten - dd is just so taken with it.

Mo, you are making me laugh today - mine does that too. Because we need the drunken slobbery words of affection. Cue me shoving him off me and telling him to go sleep it off. hee

crace · 17/05/2007 14:41

Wooohooo, got an enquiry for an August start, coming to see us on Monday and she sounds divine. First time mum of a 3 month old... come on, say it with me... AWWWW I can't wait

fifilou · 17/05/2007 14:41

bye all!

lol

MaureenMLove · 17/05/2007 14:51

My job here is done - make the girls laugh! Right ladies, its school time, so I'll refill the tea urn and make space for fifi's cake! Hi ho, hi ho, its off to work we go! See you all on the other side.....

mogs0 · 17/05/2007 15:03

My Dr took about 4 weeks to fill in my health declaration. When I went to pick it up they said they couldn't fill it in because there was nothing in my notes! Hmmm, that's because I'm never ill!! When they did eventually fill it in they ticked the wrong boxes!! Ticked that I had everything wrong with me. The Doc said he wouldn't charge me beacause it was for childminding and I'd be serving the community!! Bloody good job he didn't charge given the length of time it took for me to get it back!!

Shoshable · 17/05/2007 15:24

soak · 17/05/2007 15:32

Mogs -I hope my doc will see it like that and not charge me (but not take so long with it!)
have so far roped in one of my trusted work colleagues to give me a character ref - just need one more now.

crace · 17/05/2007 15:32

PC - just in time, DH having meltdown about money the other day. Let's hope that she loves us and that she gets her work sorted out. Poor thing is going back after maternity leave and trying to get it all sorted. I found that whole situation so stressful I never went back

Shoshable · 17/05/2007 15:34

On the subject of DH's mine does all the cooking, he has been off today, so has done the washing, ironing, cooked the kids lunch, moved furniture for me, washed the kitchen floor and cut the grass and prepared tonights dinner, do you think I should buy him some beer and yes he does the drunken slobbering, does it when he is away as well then phones me, and falls asleep on the phone!

looneytune · 17/05/2007 15:53

Mogs - how jammy is that! Tried all that when I first went to them with it and they were having none of it

I've finally got a sleeping baby but what a nightmare when she's awake - not sure how much more I can take of this and it's really affecting ds - lots of tears in this house at the moment (including me at the end of the day!) It's the afternoons that are a lot worse!

looneytune · 17/05/2007 15:55

Shosh - wanna swap dh's? i TOLD mine the other day I was on strike from cooking until I was better - told him I thought I was a SAINT for working as he'd be up in bed with MAN FLU for much worse!! he looked a bit put out but he understood - i didn't get dinner though, just got out of cooking!!! MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

looneytune · 17/05/2007 15:56

much less that is!

Shoshable · 17/05/2007 16:16

Very that you are going to Scotland Shosh! We usually go this after term evey year - but not this time. Where are you staying? We're gonna be away bank holiday weekend, so we'll have to rely on someone else to keep the camp fires burning.

I've just been skipping with my mindees in the garden again! I am sooo unfit. I only managed about 6 skips before I had to stop. That and the fact that I was suddenly aware that my jeans were falling down revealing rather tatty knicks!!

Shoshable · 17/05/2007 16:31

Mo, I lost a lots of weight recently, and was forver hitching up mytousers, but finalywent shopping when fellow CM walking behind me told me she could see my knicks falling down UNDER my trousers

We are going to Alloa, DH comes from there. I was born in Dunbar at my Grans , but was a pad brat so moved all the time.

looneytune · 17/05/2007 16:42

Shosh - mine is 15 years OLDER - I'm his retirement plan (so he says) so I think he'll be a little upset if I dump him for a new DH that HELPS

MaureenMLove · 17/05/2007 16:43

We stay up in the Highlands, in Glen Coe. Its so beautiful and I am really going to miss the peace & quite. It's the only time of the year, where I don't have a headache for 2 whole weeks! As soon as we hit the M25 coming home, I get one!

crace · 17/05/2007 16:50

Shosha.. wooo, younger man, well done you

And very well done on the losing weight - I have it on my list to do

Shoshable · 17/05/2007 17:24

Crace cany claim all the credit, I was on alot of steroids, and they have taken me off some, so have lost a stone that way
