Oh, oh, oh, first time I've been in so early

Just drinking cuppa and just need to make ds's packed lunch.

Today will either be really nice or really AWFUL if like last week (1:1 baby for next 2 days)

looneytune · 17/05/2007 08:10

What you go planned for the day then? I was going to go to toddler group but I'm trying out something new today with timings/routine and I'm going to stay at home with baby to see how it works.

Shoshable · 17/05/2007 08:15

Oh dear hope it goes better today, CM next door had one like that and unfortualtly she never stopped, CM gave notice eventually after 6 months, the following CM lasted 4 months, now I see the child occasionally and seems to be a lot better, but she is now 2.

It was very much a PFB problem there tho the whole world revolved around her, she was never put down, was fed even solids on mums lap, rocked to sleep and most of the time coslept, so the seperation anxiety was awful. This child even when she could crawl and then walk would sit screaming in the middle of the room if her toy was out of reach until the ahult went and got it and gave it to her!

God, I'm hoping it's not that as I have a 2 month notice period which made me decide not to give notice (in case by the end of working the notice period, she's fine).

We'll see how it goes then and maybe I will end up giving notice - I'm very stubborn though (as you may already know from people telling me to give notice to my other 2 mindees!)

crace · 17/05/2007 09:21

do pardon my double posting

crace · 17/05/2007 09:23

Crud weather here too, stuck inside with a 13 month old, 17 month old and a 2.5 yo. HELLLLPP! If you hear me screaming...

PS - what is it with children and eating butter. My 2.5 yo mindee has toast at the moment and I have had to rebutter her toast twice. Blerch

Hi looneytune has your baby arrived yet as you know I am still waiting for mine!!! Hope you have a betterday today the baby I mind was really unsettled and cried loads to start with I got my ds baby swing down from loft and she loved it might be worth a go what do you think?

looneytune · 17/05/2007 10:31

Hi, yes baby is here and asleep now. i did have a swing but it was fairly big and we had a big clear out when we moved - got so much baby stuff, can't keep everything!!

Suppose I could think about getting a smaller one but don't really want to spend so much money on a baby that it may not work for? Maybe I'll try freecycle but that's how I got rid of mine and I really need a smaller one (which probably means newer and therefore harder to get on freecycle)

OFSTEDoutstanding · 17/05/2007 10:40

Sorry am being really dim whats freecycle never heard of that round here?

looneytune · 17/05/2007 10:59

Shoshable · 17/05/2007 11:10

looneytune · 17/05/2007 11:12

People give away all sorts, it's fab isn't it. I also loved how people LOVED my CRAP and took it all away from me without needing to go to the tip - plus saving landfills of course

crace · 17/05/2007 11:17

I am picking up an ELC sand box today, a piano stool later on and yesterday a bunch of sand toys. It's like christmas around here.

I have given away some much garbage (another mans treasure I guess) it's silly

fifilou · 17/05/2007 11:36

i really should get on, but this place is soooooo addictive.

julia5 · 17/05/2007 12:58

Hiya fifilou saw that thread, poor you have a (virtual) hug and here's my famous flapjack too. HTH

MaureenMLove · 17/05/2007 13:01

Thanks Julia! Talking to myself again then! Just to bore you again, I'm going to repeat what I said in the OTHER staff room!
I said:
Hi Guys! How is everyone. Hello fifilou! are you completely new to MN or just the staff room? {Mo shows her where the coffee machine is and the secret stash of booze!}

Pinkchick - any new on your mum yet? Fingers & toes crossed for you.

I've got no babies today, conveniently managed to not have any on Wednesdays & Thursdays! Just schoolies today. My dd is year 6 along with one mindee. They will be all hyped up tonight, as they are one SATS test away from the end and they are finding out today what their end of term production is going to be. They are pretty sure its going to be Wiz of Oz, so I'm going to have to listen to endless renditions of Ding Dong the Witch is Dead and the like until the end of June!!
Happy days everyone!

I'm going to have to read twice as much now!! Please don't confuse an old woman again!

soak · 17/05/2007 13:04

OMG!!!!! just spoke to my docs to tell them I need to drop in a health declaration and I have been told it will cost about £60!!!!!!!
