But if I am it's probably going to be very slow!

Having got to sleep at 12.30am (ish) last night I woke up at 2.30 and have been up ever since! I think I might have been woken up by a contraction.

Anyway, next one wasn't until 3.45am, then they came at half hourly intervals until about 7am, but haven't had any since... however I am feeling a great deal of pressure in my pelvic area.... here's hoping!

oooh oooh oooh, thanks MrM, hope things really happen now, love to all of you!

Janxxx

LOL at the comfy chair. Hope there isn't a rack as well.

Miaou · 29/07/2005 15:38

Hi Toothache

I might wander along at some point and see whats going on

No, not excited at all

Janh, you're not suggesting the rack for me are you , a man needs to be comfortable at these imporant times.

(TBH the comfy chair is only for use if the boss is not in labour, I get to sleep in the chair whilst dearly beloved sleeps in a lovely comfy bed)

lol Mr Miaou!

Have fun!! Tell the boss we're all asking after her and wishing her a lovely 2 hr relatively painless, simple, stressless labour!!!

Janh · 29/07/2005 15:42

The comfy chair/rack are from Nobody Expects the Spanish Inquisition! (I'm sure you'll be in enough pain supervising without that )

Can't wait to hear all about it.

Miaou · 29/07/2005 15:48

Hi Toothache

I couldn't possibly pass on your message as it stands. I'll tell her you are wishing her 6 hours of pure hell, pain and suffering,

If I say nice things to her she won't believe me.

mandyc66 · 30/07/2005 07:29

update please?!!!

Distel · 30/07/2005 09:56

any news?????????????

Miaou · 30/07/2005 10:06

Hello everyone! It's me this time, not dh. Thank you for all your lovely messages.

Well... I am home.

But still no baby!!!!

Contractions started again last night, but stopped fairly quickly. Aaargh! I had another show too, but then...nothing. I feel like a bomb about to go off!

I was given the option of staying in hospital again today, but tbh I felt I needed to get out as I am going stir crazy. General opinion (of the midwives) is that I could go into labour any time... or that things could settle down for another week!

So I am going to visit my parents today. They are still looking after the dds, God bless 'em. Dh is sticking to my side like glue

Will let you know (probably via dh!) if anything happens!

Oh well, baby Miaou didn't want to be born on 29th july then, wanted a different birthday

Hope you have good day with DD

mandyc66 · 30/07/2005 12:04

poor you!!!
You should try what I recommended before especially whils your little ones are away!!!
It might just work and sure is fun even if it doesnt!!!
Failing that i had a friend once that swore by making meangue!!! think its hand whisking the whites or something!! She was a bit odd though!

Still here!

Went to see my parents, then came home for a sleep - I'm slightly spaced out after "contracting" (can't really call it labouring!) through the night for the past three nights! We then had the dds back whilst mum and dad went to the supermarket. When they came back to pick the girls up dd1 asked if she could stay here tonight, and we were just about to say yes, when I had a HUGE contraction that brought tears to my eyes! Everyone then sat expectantly watching me for the next half hour!! After that we decided she'd better go back with my mum and dad just in case.

Just had a bath and had another show, bigger than before. My bump keeps tightening, but not really contracting.

Dh and I are going to watch Sleepless in Seattle and take it from there...

Miaou, are you still here? I've had my baby, I've posted on the ante-natal thread, I can't believe you're still going.

If you are still threr I had a 'natural' third stage and it was quicker and I lost less blood than the one I had with syntometrine and I feel a lot better afterwards. Hope that makes you feel better about having one too. Good luck sweetie.

hunkermunker · 30/07/2005 21:12

Miaou, will cross my fingers that you have your baby to cuddle very very soon!

Miaou · 30/07/2005 21:18

Thanks Kate, was just posting on the August thread whilst you were posting on here!

Thanks for the info on the "natural" third stage - I like to hear positive experiences

Another big contraction whilst watching Sleepless in Seattle.....but then nothing! Argh!

Hi hunker - keep sending the vibes
