Been getting pains all evening, just been to loo and wiped and there was bloody discharge (aware could be because of internal) - Consultant was convinced I would be going soon when he did internal today - I am praying that tonight is the night as I am fed up!

Did anyone else have bloody discharge (not a show) pre-labour?

Ah Lulumama - doesn't the 'yum-yum' feeling help just a lickle bit?

Lulumama · 03/02/2009 19:57

a very full stomach will possibly force the baby to come out

What about a bottle of wine

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 20:02

DH making me a Kung Po chicken stir fry with noodles AND rice and I am going to enjoy a very small(ish) glass of Oyster Bay White wine. I deserve it. Then I am going to have some pistachio nuts! You can tell with your third you take a lot of notice to the nuts and alcohol guidelines.

i would say a small glass of wine would not be a terrible thing

not a bottle..

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 20:03

glad DH is looking after you.

mine has gone to the gym, despite being renedered practically immobile after body combat yesterda

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 20:06

at body combat LuluPapa!

DH does his whack, believe me, he wouldn't get away with not. I ordered him home before (he usually dog trains on a Tuesday) to collect DD1 from school and take her swimming.

he was exhausted. could not move his arms properly this morning . poor lulupapa, i said , have some ibuprofen and a hot bath and we had run out of tablets and hot water.

you are entitled to order everyone around at 40 weeks !!

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 20:11

PMSL at no tablets or hot water! Paupers you Lulus!

He came home with some details of a friend's house to rent but it is TINY. It wouldn't even fit half of our sofa in the front room. Depressed. There is nothing around here to rent at all.

I have just put my glass of wine in the freezer to get it to the correct temp for my exacting standards. The things you do when you can only enjoy things in gross moderation!

please stay you are a bit of birth guru !

SnowlightMcKenzie · 03/02/2009 21:01

Gosh Lulumama, I would never think of myself like that.

I've just got myself caught up a bit in wanting all women feel the way I did about DC2, and for no women to feel the way I did about DC1.

Did you know that the NHS are starting to cut antenatal classes btw?

MKG · 03/02/2009 21:05

pgwithnumber3--if it helps I could fly over there with my plunger. We'll get that baby out one way or another.

SnowlightMcKenzie · 03/02/2009 21:17

Make sure you take pictures MKG

MKG · 03/02/2009 21:22

Oh I will. It's a new technique I'm working on. I threatened it when pg with ds2, but lately I'm ready to be my own guinea pig.
The headline will read, "Insane women gives birth with the help of plunger" Some use forceps, other vacuum, me . . I use plumbers tools.

LackaDAISYcal · 03/02/2009 21:57

oops sorry, disappeared off to have tea.

3 is fine. not as bad as I thought it would be, but you can forget all hope of just nipping out anywhere. It takes me an hour to get mobilised to go anywhere, and by the time I have got DS2 wrapped up and ready to go, DD has taken her coat off and hidden her gloves in the dustbin. DS2 is three months now (I know, where did the time go?) and really starting to interact with DS1 and DD and it's lovely watching them all together.

DH is working closer to home now so is home every night. If he was still away through the week I might have a different take on having three children.

DS2 has been the most unsettled of all three of them as well, so maybe you'll get the opposite this time as well and get a good 'un

anyway, fingers crossed things get moving for you soon......or you'll have to rename this thread!

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 22:08

Starlight tell me what happened with DC1 and DC2.

I will pass on the plunger withdrawal method for now MKG but thanks for the offer!

Lacks - glad you are enjoying the 3 of them. I really hope I can say the same in 3 months. I have to admit to moments of dread about what is to come but probably doesn't help that we have to move in around 6 weeks and have nowhere to live.

Hi, I went to 3 (all DDs) in July last year, and the only drawback is that the amount of laundry I do seems to have increased exponentially. One leetle baby cannot possibly have increased the laundry so much (though her sterling efforts at crapping in our bed and squirting it out her sleepsuit did contribute to this).
