Been getting pains all evening, just been to loo and wiped and there was bloody discharge (aware could be because of internal) - Consultant was convinced I would be going soon when he did internal today - I am praying that tonight is the night as I am fed up!

Did anyone else have bloody discharge (not a show) pre-labour?

you need to pick a name.

SnowlightMcKenzie · 03/02/2009 16:28

pg3 He put it in there, he can help get it out!!!

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 16:28

Lulu - this baby has to arrive soon, I started crying to "Wing Beneath my Wings" by Bette Midler before. FFS!

Camille is top again for names. Don't know any others, wanted it for DD1 (and bloody less common than Grace, wish I had used it) and I like it today so hey, all good!

you need to plan something like meeting a friend for thursday - sods law dictates you will have to cancel!

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 16:32

If you saw the state of my nether regions Snowlight, you would understand! I need to tend to the bush tonight, I did this with DD1 and she arrived the next day! The midwife spent 10 mins pissing herself laughing at my hacksaw job of trimming my pubes when I was trying to deliver her. Only when my bump went down the next day did I see what she meant. It looked like a hedgehog with alopecia.

I arranged to see a show with my mum on a wed afternoon when I was 3 days overdue.

Never made it!

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 16:33

Ohh good idea ladies, pity everyone is at work!

You have a point pg3 I went into labour both times just hours after tending my lady garden. I reckon the babies just knew they were knitted in until then.

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 16:37

I have told DH to get his beard trimmer out. He somehow hasn't jumped up to go find it. Bastard!

ooh ooh ooh ooh oooooooooooooooooooooh

how exciting

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 16:40

I found your letter today pyscho that you sent with the secret santa stuff, it brought a tear to my eye (along with the Bette Midler song!).

PinkTulips · 03/02/2009 16:40

well that didn't work for me.... arranged a blinds fitter to come and give us an estimate and neither he nor baby arrived

dp is 'too tired' for sex this week apparently the crazy pregnant lady is scaring him.... poor diddums

nether regions are trimmed at the expense of me almost splitting myself in half squatting in the shower and it hasn't enticed baby out.

dp has to go to his course and hour and a half drive away tomorrow so sod's law it'll make a break for it while he's there and it'll be the first of my labours not to take 18hours!

psychomum5 · 03/02/2009 16:42

awww.........

I will just clarify.......the 'how exciting' is to do with the almost labouring, NOT the beard-trimming-hedgehog-with-alopecia commments!!!

Oooohhhhhh good luck pgNo3

Any more going on today?

and pmsl at the forest/blunt knife analogy

camille is a lovely name as well.

Lulumama · 03/02/2009 17:51

camille is lovely

am coming round again tomorrow and am going to scare that baby out!

i am going to show it the burberry tracksuit !

pgwithnumber3 · 03/02/2009 18:34

Poor Lulu has been around here today, I think she thought I was going to ask her to do an internal to see if I had surpassed 2cms! If the poor girl had a crystal ball to tell me when I will go...

Can't wait to see this tracksuit. DD3 will wear it when Aunty Lulu comes to visit and at no other time.

Lacks - how are you getting on, especially now you are having to manage without DH? Is 3 a lot harder?

Note the lack of labour going on in my labour thread.

Before I had DD1 sitting on my knee, she is exhausted tonight and wanted cuddles. DD2 (only 16.5 months) trots up and tries to squeeze between us and a scrap erupts. All this with a huge tummy and me wondering where the hell another child is going to fit in!?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE OH HEAVENLY FATHER BLESS ME WITH A CHILD WHO NEVER CRIES, SLEEPS AND FEEDS WELL.

I went into labour after eating a whole battenburg cake. Lierally with the last mouthful I realised I was in labour.

Lulumama · 03/02/2009 19:52

he is not that fit, no. but hell, take it where you can find it !

i can tell you , with some degree of certainty , having spent some time now in maternity services, that battenburg cake is not well known for bringing on labour

but , you know, anything is worth a try !
