Been getting pains all evening, just been to loo and wiped and there was bloody discharge (aware could be because of internal) - Consultant was convinced I would be going soon when he did internal today - I am praying that tonight is the night as I am fed up!

Did anyone else have bloody discharge (not a show) pre-labour?

[sulks in corner prodding kung fu panda]

have been walking since my last post and still nada other than the usual constant twinges

am very excited for you though, if you didn't have any painful contractions with dd1 til 8cm i'd definitely go and get checked out... if you're still not far on you can always come home and labour at home but at least it'll reassure you to know exactly what's going on.

pgwithnumber3 · 04/02/2009 14:24

It will be an hour before I can get into labour ward with DH, I am sure that within that hour I will either be worse if it is real labour or they will relent if false. I will ring labour ward when DH gets here. Very hard to know what to do for best.

PinkTulips - baby is not born yet, I could be sitting at home later on back on here still with bump intact!

I will text Lulumama with any developments if I go into hospital and she can update thread for me.

Shit, I have gone off the name Camille - FUCK FUCK FUCKITY FUCK!

singyswife · 04/02/2009 14:25

You will know her name as soon as you see her. My friend has just had a girl called Kay, what about that>???

SnowlightMcKenzie · 04/02/2009 14:28

LOL pg They are still a fairly significant time apart. I was on 2mins before my Doula MADE me either go to the birthing centre or phone for a homebirth. I still didn't give birth until 2 hours later.

Labour overall will be faster if you stay at home for as long as you can. Can a CMW/hb mw visit and check you instead?

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 04/02/2009 14:31

Ooooh pg - exciting! Stop stressing about the blardy name and wait til you see her little face.

(It's PJ, btw)

pgwithnumber3 · 04/02/2009 14:32

I will stay at my mum's for as long as possible, it is a 15 min drive to the hospital but an Ambulance Station is at the bottom of my mum's road if an emergency arises!

pgwithnumber3 · 04/02/2009 14:51

They are lasting over a minute and 5 mins apart atm.

Recording this for future!

My mum's dog is going very strange - do you think they can sense it?

Wow - go for it! I will be watching this thread with interest!! Are you going to Ormskirk Hospital?? Is Lulumama looking after you or is she just a friend??

Sorry will shup up know, as I know you are busy preparing!! I am waiting for news from a friend who is due this week, and was feeling unwell yesterday!!

Neeerly3 · 04/02/2009 14:58

I have just gone up and down stairs a few times to see if I can join in (baby not due for 3 weeks!).....

pgwithnumber3 · 04/02/2009 15:03

LOL andyrobo - yes, I am going to Ormskirk - Lulu a friend and general childbirth adviser!

claireybrations · 04/02/2009 15:04

Hope you don't mind me joining in but I am finding this all very exciting! Why've you gone off Camille?

SnowlightMcKenzie · 04/02/2009 15:05

pg3 I've heard something about that. Apparently dogs can smell fear and stress in humans.

Hope you're not fearful or stressed!!!

Whatever you're planning to do to help with the stronger contractions later you need to start practising and concentrating now so that it become second nature!

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 04/02/2009 15:06

Aw I had dd at Ormskirk. Obviously.

andyrobo237 · 04/02/2009 15:06

I have a vague recolection that you are in Maghull and know pinkjenny?? Not seen her on here for a while. I live in Maghull and will be driving past your mums shortly to school!!

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 04/02/2009 15:06

Er AndyRobo - what did I say above??

singyswife · 04/02/2009 15:07

This is all very exciting. Cant wait to hear that she has arrived and what her name is finally. Good luck.

SnowlightMcKenzie · 04/02/2009 15:07

Neeerly3 You must be excited. Will this be your 3rd too?

andyrobo237 · 04/02/2009 15:09

have you name changed pj - confused?? Not a NKOTB fan by chance?? I was a bit too old for that, but didnt stop me singing along to the old songs!!

PGwithno3 - any more progress?? Will have to go soon, but will check back later - ootball on TV tonight and I find it better to be in another room!!!!

Neeerly3 · 04/02/2009 15:10

this will indeed be my third (but second pregnancy - see profile pics). Excited/bored/impatient. Never been this pregnant before or experienced the lead up to a birth so it's all new and not sure I will be doing it again!

pg3, hows things now?

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 04/02/2009 15:10

Yeah I namechanged. I have been to see them twice on their recent tour and have apparently regressed to being 12 again.

I don't know pgwithnumber3 btw. But I believe she is lovely.

andyrobo237 · 04/02/2009 15:12

nothin wrong with being 12!! You dont dress like a 12 year old!!

I am having no more kids - two is enough for me, even though I love babies!! Too many health problems and too old for that again!!

How is it going pgwithno3??

PinkTulips · 04/02/2009 15:14

10 minutes since she's posted.... does she not realise we're waiting for updates?!
