DS I apoligised to him for shouting .

DD I didn't want to hold as I felt sick and was a bit angry at her (I don't know why it was the drugs lol)

DD2 I felt the amazing rush everyone talks about it .

Just wondered about other peoples feelings .

God, I'm glad that's over...oh, this is real now...wow, you look like an alien...woo, you're suckling straight off...that feels weird...I'm a mum...I'll have to get used to this...wow....I feel like shit but also Christmasy...

I wasn't sure if it was the G&A or endorphins or stress but a day or so later I kept breaking out in hysterical laughter.

ds1 - oh my god, you are beautiful

ds2 - oh my god,why aren't you as beautiful as ds1?

dd1 - oh my god,what a lot of hair

Flibbertyjibbet · 25/07/2008 23:56

ds1: 'ok its a baby. Now just give him to his dad while I sleep for amonth'

ds2; 'ok its another boy'

Never had that rush that people talk about. But have made up for it since

my very first thought when DD was plonked on my chest was 'where did you come from?' and then 'oh yeah...' 'what are you' 'oh youre a GIRL!!!!' all the way through the preg i was convinced i was having a boy my next thought was 'how much do you look like my sister' i didnt get a rush of love i felt as if she had always been there just hiding i was elated and in shock for a while and then panic set in...

Of course disencharntedplusbump I have been told by dh that I am particularly sharp when I am in labour and aparently dont mince my words.
I have to say though after the potato comment dh looked at me and started crying.
When I asked him if he was crying because he was happy that we had a boy he said, 'well its because you were in so much pain and I wanted to help you, but I couldnt do anything'.
Bless him. He made me cry then.

DS1 - you sure cry a lot (bit of an omen there)

DS2 - is that blood on his head or is it red hair? Long discussion with theatre staff. Yep, he had red hair

OrmIrian · 26/07/2008 15:50

Honestly? Feck! What the hell am I supposed to do with this then?

DS - I had an emergency C section. I just checked him to make sure he was breathing and then told them to take him away because I felt blood pumping out of me, someone was paged and they came tearing though the doors and it was absolute chaos. I told DH to go to the baby but he didn't want to because he thought I was dying! I got stitched up and then had him back and all I could think was how light and small he was compared to this big bump I had been carrying around.

DD - I cried as soon as I saw her and said "You look just like your brother" and she did. It was like giving birth to twins, 3 years apart.

Just remembered actually second thought for dd was "Omg the poor thing has just been born to the sound of martine mcutcheon caterwauling eew
eew she's got poo coming out of her mouth"

With ds (section) "get the heffalump off my chest I cant effing breathe"
