DS I apoligised to him for shouting .

DD I didn't want to hold as I felt sick and was a bit angry at her (I don't know why it was the drugs lol)

DD2 I felt the amazing rush everyone talks about it .

Just wondered about other peoples feelings .

DS1 - I though 'wow, hes gorgeous and tiny ... now will someone take him whilst I pass out and vomit'

DS2 - I just felt over the moon ... I was amazed and so happy (much easier birth!)

RubySlippers · 23/07/2008 15:42

i said

"you look just like your daddy"

which was true

he was a mini version of DH (without the stubble )

katiepotatie · 23/07/2008 15:43

I though i recognised her from somewhere....blubbed for about an hour! So did DH.

HughJasss · 23/07/2008 15:44

I felt as if I had always known her

belgo · 23/07/2008 15:46

'is it really a baby?!'

Romy7 · 23/07/2008 15:47

wtf do i do now.

DisenchantedPlusBump · 23/07/2008 15:48

Wit DS1 I actually said out loud 'OMG... hes got feet!'

I meant tiny feet!

angemorange · 23/07/2008 15:49

Fell in love at first sight - amazing high (but may have been drugs after 9 months with nothing!!)

girlsallaround · 23/07/2008 15:49

DD1 - i thought, how strange its all warm and alive!

DD2 - the absolute first thing i thought when i saw her was - wow! you're beautiful too!

belgo · 23/07/2008 15:49

and with dd2: 'take her away, I'll drop her in the water'

Ecmo · 23/07/2008 15:50

dd1 she's a bit yellow
ds1 oh my god its a boy
dd2 oh my god its a girl
ds2 why is he turning blue and making a funny noise!

Pinkjenny · 23/07/2008 15:50

I actually (believe it or not) felt really serene and calm when I first held dd. And a bit smug, for some reason.

Although I remember thinking, hmm, I don't really recognise you at all. She is my double now though, poor child.

PinkTulips · 23/07/2008 15:52

dd... 'o shit she's dead, please don't let this be happening' she was snatched from me and resusitated and then put in an incubator for 3 hours before i held her again

ds... 'he's huge and pink!'

with both of them i felt a very animalistic need to protect from the second i saw them. i was already deeply in love so although it intensified a little when i saw them for the fist time it didn't really differ too strongly from how i'd felt at the end of the pregnancies

dinkystinky · 23/07/2008 15:53

numbness and overwhelming guilt that he'd ended up in SCBU

Second time I held DS it was much better though -shock and rush of love.

Romy7 · 23/07/2008 15:53

ecmo - didn't get to hold dd2 for 8 days due to the blue tricks. fun isn't it?

MuffinMclay · 23/07/2008 15:54

Ds1 - help, what do I do now!

Ds2 - awwww, so beautiful.

Ambi · 23/07/2008 15:55

OMG she's hairy and tiny.

Ecmo · 23/07/2008 15:56

Romy - not an experience I'd want to go through again

scorpio1 · 23/07/2008 15:57

ds1 - OMG its an actual baby - yay!
ds2 - you beautiful little sausage
dd - wow, my girl, god you are so gorgeous. And i was exhausted - big baby for me. Also the only baby at which dh has cried about when born

OsmosisBanana · 23/07/2008 15:58

'she smells like poo'

She did.

mankymummy · 23/07/2008 16:01

DS... "hello my beautiful little girl" (only 5 minutes later did i find out DS was a boy!!!).
