who's still here then?

Peachy · 06/04/2008 08:21

Morning everyone- who's doing brekky then?

Loads of contractions last night, but in batches which each stopped. Bah. Noticed completely packed in when ds3 climbed into bed so wondering if that's an issue- which may be helped somewhat as they go back after holidays tomorrow (just as everyone else starts). I know on several occasiona I've woek in pain, looked at the clock and thought 'Oh no, they're up in an hour'.

So did anyone actually manage to give birth last night then.......

VS

One other thing, I had an abruption with my first vba2c, at 10cms so was v lucky and managed to push baby out with no problems

There was iirc a 4% chance of another abruption with my 2nd vba2c - ie a 96% chance of not having one, and I didn't

It is always your call, it is very difficult, I had pnd after my second section and due to my second section so it was really important to me to have my vba2cs

Sending you loads of labour vibes

Lulumama · 06/04/2008 10:19

great stuff priscia.. what are the protocols for induction after waters breaking where you are? 96 hours in the UK according to NICE guidleines.. but not if your temperatutre goes up or you feel ill or your loss is dark

best of luck!!

VictorianSqualor · 06/04/2008 10:30

OOOH, GOOD NEWS PRISCI!
Think it's pretty lucky I didn't go into labour last ngiht as we have tons of snow and we would've taken HOURS to get to the hospital!

bunnyrabbit · 06/04/2008 10:43

Oh excellent news Prisci. Good luck!

Nothing here at all..... lazy LO.

VS, we have snow too but not settled on the roads so off to Costco at Lakeside to stock up. Oh what joy... I can barely contain my excitement.

At least we'll be visiting a transport cafe for cooked brekkies on the way... mmmmm

Catch you all later.....

Pollyanna · 06/04/2008 10:45

Good news Prisci!
Anyone else?

My nearly-two-year-old has taken to hitching up my top, rapping on my belly with her knuckles and shouting "Knock knock! Hello Baby?? Time to come out now! Come on Baby!"

It's not working but it makes me laugh.

Lulumama · 06/04/2008 15:05

so, any news?

VictorianSqualor · 06/04/2008 15:15

Nope. I went climbing over farmers fences in the snow to try and get things going but it still didn't work
