I’m just curious as to how long people waited to have sex again after birth, obviously different experiences will lead to different time frames. im 10 days PP and all I want to do is jump on my other half 😂 currently waiting for a tear with stitches to heal so resisting but the urge is unreal! I don’t remember being like this with my first it was 5 weeks.

@Goldencup maybe I should although I'm not sure there's anything they can do now? I had an epesiotomy and third degree tear but I never read my file after giving birth so I don't know any more than that or if I had internal stitches etc. i was exhausted, traumatised and didn't get round to reading them before they were taken back. I was 25 and feel I was fobbed off and kept out of the loop, probably due to my age. So my understanding of my birth and injuries is very very minimal. Would be interested to know if anyone else has had birth injuries Looked at this far down the line and if it's worth my speaking to the GP?

It's likely that you would benefit from pelvic floor physio. Don't feel that it's all too late. I'd try to get referred or go for a private session if you can stretch to it. I had a bad 3rd degree tear with DC1 and I can't emphasize enough how pivotal having physio was for my recovery. I know that there's things that can be worked on even years after the fact though. Don't suffer on without exploring all avenues! I'm sorry if you were treated poorly as a young mum too.v

I’m 5months postpartum and my sex drive still has not come back.
pre pregnancy me and my partner had a very healthy sex life we would pretty much do it every day longest we would go without it was that time of the month. But Since I became pregnant I completely lost my drive about 3/4month in and we went weeks/months without any interaction- I suffered with girdle pelvic pain and was so uncomfortable when my belly got bigger. I’m now 5 months postpartum and I still have no sex drive. We do have sex which is always initiated by my partner but I just don’t enjoy it anymore nor am I bothered if I never sex again. Anyone else experience this? Will I ever get my sex drive back

6 days it was a blood bath. Thought I was dying there was so much blood! Was fine in the end. Next time I'd wait longer.

Don't worry, you're still very early on! It will come back, perhaps not exactly as it was but certainly more than how things are currently. If you're breastfeeding especially, that has a huge effect on your hormones.
