Found you! Missed you all last night though. DD finally got some sleep after a nasty cold so I went to bed too
Was expecting a Birth announcment! I was thinking your SPD may be causing additional pains, mine was quite mild but on a bad day towards the end I did think it was Labour starting.

Make the most of the rest while you can then get up and have a nice day pottering around. Is there a park or river nearby you can all go to and you can sit on a bench and watch DH with DD? Nice quality time for her too before LO arrives!

missyhols · 09/09/2007 10:33

Yeah your right think we'll do that. My spd tends to grind and lock more than cause muscular pain but its def getting worse. . I plan to chill as much as i can before tomorrow. I have high hopes so hopefully i won't be too dissapointed.

My contractions which are now stupidly irreg are quite painful at top of bump weird as with dd they were very low.

How old is lo? I hated it when my dd had colds as a smaller baby used to worry me.

I've linked the new thread Missy, that way watling will find us when she wakes from her drunken sleep.

Mars · 09/09/2007 10:49

Oh honey. Try not to feel down. Things are happening, just not as quickly as you'd like. Have you tried a nice bath? That might make you feel better (but not if you're resting just now). Eat some fresh pineapple if you have any.

littleducks · 09/09/2007 10:54

My mum suggestion was to watch some really funny comedy, apparently with my bro is was the hysterical laughing that made it so uncomfortable for him in there it all kicked off.

Mars · 09/09/2007 10:56

See Missy.... what did I tell you? Get a comedy! Wise woman that mother of Littleducks!

lulumama · 09/09/2007 11:06

oh, don;t be sad ! when this baby comes, he /she will practically fly out after all this practice

rest and labour will let you know when it is really getting going

Mrsjaffabiffa · 09/09/2007 11:24

How lovely to "see" you both.

You missed the scone and best vintage wine last night but i'm sure they'l be more goodies flowing today.

Thanks girls. Finally gotten up as dd woke up. Hubby still at football. Will get myself dressed and ready for our walk. I'd love for him to take me to cinema to watch a funny film but money is super tight. I'll see if i get my way!

And tonight i fancy a really cold glass of rose and a huge glass of ice to crunch! I'll try to be quiet! Lol

missy, hiya...oh have a nice day in the park...that will be what we will be doing in a moment, and a few bits of shopping are needed, too....!

On the laughing thing...I remember watching Lee Evans (who I think is mega funny, just my kind of humour) when I was about 30 weeks with ms, and I laughed so hard, I thought I was starting labour off, lol....obviously laughing does put a lot of pressure on the tummy, etc...so, who knows might work...rent a DVD maybe of something you know you find hilarious

Hi everyone else...including our professional Birth partners
Mars, I looked at your website the other day....completely by coincidence, as I was searching for general Doula info etc...it's a great site and you look absolutely lovely

callmeovercautious · 09/09/2007 12:39

Have a lovely time and forget about everything else for now.

callmeovercautious · 09/09/2007 12:41

Sorry Missy - my DD just turned 1 year hence the hanging around on Childbirth - was reminissing!(sp?)
Hello 3! I was thinking Waterbeach but know Bassingbourne too.

lulumama · 09/09/2007 12:42

did someone say scones!

Mars · 09/09/2007 12:45

thank you 3!

Missy... have you any comedies at home or could you rent one from the video store (cheaper than the cinema)? I got one of my last clients to do that and she had her baby the following morning! Things really picked up once she'd started laughing.

3andnomore · 09/09/2007 12:46

yeah, waterbeach is the other direction ...

Cambridge is only like 40 mnutes or so from here (corby)....

3andnomore · 09/09/2007 12:48

oh and mars, I saw a message on another thread, where you mention that your dd was feeling ever so sorry for her Daddy, because he was the only white one in your household...that is so so sweet.
