Hi missy!
I posted on your thread about second labours. I have been wondering how you are getting on so glad to see this. Good luck!!

callmeovercautious · 09/09/2007 14:45

How was the walk? Did your waters pop on the slide

I had forgotten about Pinapple - lovely excuse to eat loads of it!

Anyone save me some cake? I can swap for a rather stale piece of DDs 1st B'day cake (I can't bring myself to throw it out )

Mrsjaffabiffa · 09/09/2007 16:36

I echo lulu's words.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooo

a show!!

However, don't want to put a dapener but my show went on for a week before dd2 arrived, it did turn pink the day labour started though.

There had better be some cake left..... Have I turned you all into Frech mode.

missyhols · 09/09/2007 16:44

So i'm back and i feel ok. Bit of belly ache but not looking into it too much. Spoke to midwife and she said I've had a show. So another thing to add to list when i go in tomorrow!

missy, it really is all happening now....oh, think, by tomorrow this time you could be holding a beautyful little bundle in your arms

Mars...hope there is some of that famous cake left for me...if not...well, I suppose a piece of chocolate cake would do....;) lol!

missyhols · 09/09/2007 17:31

I'll settle for any cake.

3nomore your more optimistic then me! Lol

3andnomore · 09/09/2007 17:39

aww...
but honest, really try to relax about it, as that will make it more likely to get things going....being relaxed, and all that....stressing about really doesn't help!

Why did you get a sweep by the way? I thought they only do those once overdue?

callmeovercautious · 09/09/2007 17:41

My show came about 6 hours before I had her, then again my waters didn't break until I pushed so I think I was just odd in general! I did throw up about 20 hours before.

No takers for the stale cake then????

I'm ok trying hard not to get too down, which is difficult. And relaxing well.
Had a sweep whilst having internal as I've been having significant contractions for a week and my spd is bad as is my bloody depression. You don't always have to wait until overdue for sweep. If things are happening or whatever then you are sometimes offered it. I had simular thing with dd at 39 weeks but it worked straight away! Lol.

Don't get down, we are all here to cheer you up sweetie. Glad you are resting, it's going to happen soon and you'll be ready when it does. Try not to worry about depression, it doesn't always strike twice, just wait and see how things go. You know better than most the signs now and will be able to act fast if you need to.

lulumama · 09/09/2007 18:50

oh darling, would a virtual hug make you feel better

a small glass of wine, a warm bath and an early night might do you the power of good

try a visualisation of the birth too

Mrsjaffabiffa · 09/09/2007 18:58

I tried the viualisation thing lulu, was gutted in the end though as the real thing did not turn out as I'd imagined. There was no yucky bits and screaming in my visualisation.

lulumama · 09/09/2007 19:01

mine turned out pretty close to what i imagined !

missyhols · 09/09/2007 19:03

Yes def will be doing that tonight. Hopefully the hosp will agree to induce me. My midwife has been amazingly supportive with the depression etc. I find pg quite hard. Dd was very difficult but coped lots better this time up til now. I can tell its starting i think its where i'm drained from last couple weeks. Its great having you guys about thanks x

Wait for it Missy, it's the dreaded induction word.

missyhols · 09/09/2007 19:10

If it means sooner than later. Lol. I'd prefer just my waters broken.

You leave those waters be! Just.... (I know, I know....) relax!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sex babe! Lots of it and nipple stimulation and VIDEO (obviously I don't mean video yourself getting busy................) COMEDY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Leave your body alone. Try some natural induction techniques if you must!
