Was that a show I've just had????????????

I've just been to the loo (sorry TMI coming up LOL) and when I wiped there was a big 'lump' of jelly like mucus - wasn't brown or tinged with blood - more of a very milky weak tea/coffee colour.

I've been having lots of twinges this morning - infact was lying in bed this morning and had a few quite strong BH's.......timed the 1st 2 or 3 and they were 7 minutes apart - turned my back on the clock and played "guess the time of the next one" - and for about 1hr they were regular at every 7 minutes....

Now obviously it was a show I know it could still mean that labour is days (or even weeks) away....but I just wondered if it WAS a show.

if you are having to breathe they may continue with any luck.
stopping and starting is no fun.
I should know.

paulaplumpbottom · 23/05/2007 23:46

How are you feeling now?

LadyOfTheFlowers · 23/05/2007 23:49

paula!
Meant to say the other day when i saw you.
The boy's longstanding faves are the vtech tree, the picnic table with the alphabet soup and the megablocks fire engine...

get top bed fanny! ignore us excitedly posting! lol

LadyOfTheFlowers · 23/05/2007 23:51

nearly forgot.... timer for your contractions! You will need this soon methinks!

paulaplumpbottom · 23/05/2007 23:53

OOOHHHH I'm soooooo glad they like them!!!!!!
The engine was pretty cool.

I lost the baby in FEB but I will keep that counter for future reference

chilledmama · 24/05/2007 00:29

Sounds a bit like my labour so far which means that you should hopefully be in established labour by now...and be having baby by 10am...yeah...so exciting...almost makes me broody for another...almost

hope all is going well and you're sleeping soundly!!!

I bet tomorrow afternoon, all by yourself, your body just needed the first two to work out what it was meant to be doing!

fannyannie · 24/05/2007 02:40

well just a quick middle of the night update seen as though I needed the loo and the computer was still switched on in the next room.

I'm managing to get some rest - although the contractions are still there and some (all???) are waking me up at times although they're still pretty short lived.. Went to the loo just now and when I wiped it wasn't so much "lumps" of jelly - but mucussy with tinges of red!

Anyhow - best get back to bed......

Hi FA. I dont normally lurk on these threads as only 1 child so far 2 1/2 yrs old. I have forgotten what to do when it comes to child birth!!

Jusy wanted to say congrats! It sounds like things are very much on their way! Could still be a couple of days but that will wizz!

Keep us updated, I shall be watching this thread (I need to remember how it all works! Trying for another at the mo!)

fannyannie · 24/05/2007 03:47

How you doing this morning FA? Did you get any sleep in the end? Hope things pick up for you xx

dionnelorraine · 24/05/2007 06:24

Still regular?????

notsofarnow · 24/05/2007 06:39

fa so excited for you, dd woke at 1.30 and I was so tempted to come and switch on and see how you were doing.

Hopefully by end of today you will have your ds in your arms. Have you rang your doula?

lulumama · 24/05/2007 07:20

ooooooooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!

usandnosleep · 24/05/2007 07:32

How are you?

So excited for you! I felt cheated when I didn't go into labour naturally

chilledmama · 24/05/2007 07:42

oooohhhhh so excited!!!!!!!

trying to decide if FA silence is good thing or bad thing

you know...is good or bad to be in excruiting pain?????worth it afterwards but at the time....

fannyannie · 24/05/2007 07:44

Well I'm still getting them lasting around 1 minute each having to breath through most of them - not sure how close they are together I think between 6-10 minutes as I've been "sleeping" on the sofa since my last post and only really looking at my watch when I feel on starting so that I can see how long it lasts.

THe Ds's are up now so I'm going to get them up, dressed, DS1's packed lunch etc done and then I think I will get my hospital bag together in case they keep on going......

OP posts:
fannyannie · 24/05/2007 07:45

mind you I must say given than I'm only in the early stages I'm quite glad I didn't push for a homebirth - don't think my pain threshold would/will have been high enough

DaisysGotABigBump · 24/05/2007 08:07

LOL Fannyannie at your bag not being packed

Natty from the June thread has gone to the hospital...she had a show on Monday/Tuesday.

When are you going in?

jinxed · 24/05/2007 08:12

I hope it happens soon for you FA.

Dont forget to let us all know asap, and take it easy.

Good luck.

colditz · 24/05/2007 08:13

ooooo

how exciting!

fannyannie · 24/05/2007 08:17

no honestly it's not packed yet - I don't even have all the 'stuff' in one place it's scattered throughout the house .

I'm certainly not going to go to the hospital yet - yes some of them hurt (a lot) but they're still not really regular and since my last post I've had more of the shorter ones so don't think it's quite time yet (although have primed DS1 that someone else may be picking him from school) LOL.

fannyannie · 24/05/2007 09:18
