Was that a show I've just had????????????

I've just been to the loo (sorry TMI coming up LOL) and when I wiped there was a big 'lump' of jelly like mucus - wasn't brown or tinged with blood - more of a very milky weak tea/coffee colour.

I've been having lots of twinges this morning - infact was lying in bed this morning and had a few quite strong BH's.......timed the 1st 2 or 3 and they were 7 minutes apart - turned my back on the clock and played "guess the time of the next one" - and for about 1hr they were regular at every 7 minutes....

Now obviously it was a show I know it could still mean that labour is days (or even weeks) away....but I just wondered if it WAS a show.

ok,, when they are lasting a minute , we'll start the rocking and knitting ! x

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 19:49

ok just remind me is it 1 minute of 'ouch' - or 1 minute from 'build up through ouch until it subsides again'?

Shall I tell them that ds 2 and 3 were both elective sections and the 2 hour one was when I went for my last pee before theatre.

No,let FA think that third babies do sometimes show up quickly after a show!

Stop being blase and make something happen!

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 19:53

LOL Sugar - don't worry I'm still not expecting anything miraculous to happen any time soon - just wish they'd either stop and stop messing me around, or get going........

Don't you dare do it Friday-I'm out all day.

lulumama · 23/05/2007 19:57

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 20:04

lol cya (ps what about the 'length' of them - start timing from the "ouch" moment or as soon as you start feeling it coming on?)

a pregnant woman...now I'd never have thought of that

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 20:13

yes but not just a pregnant woman - one that's having contractions

Just checking up. (being nosy)

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 20:44

still nothing much to report - getting them every 5 or 6 minutes or so now - but still not very long only about 30-40 seconds each. But uncomfortable all the same.

notsofarnow · 23/05/2007 20:50

sounds like something is happening fa - i'm so jealous now have never just gone into labour.

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 20:56

don't be jealous - I feel like a firsttimer as I've never just gone into labour before - and even if this isn't "IT" it's the closest I've ever come.

Well, we're still here so when you're ready...

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 20:59

lol thanks foxy - suppose I'd better go and make it loook like I've made an "effort" downstairs - and perhaps watch the rest of the football..........DH will be home sometime in the next 45 minutes or so.

Keep us posted.

Watching and waiting ... g'nite FA. And good luck. Hope you aren't on here in the morning (and I mean that in the nicest possible way!)

Klaw · 23/05/2007 21:07

Fannyannie, don't forget that you must carry on as normal just now, It's when you absolutely cannot ignore a contraction, cannot speak through it at all, or even type on this thread through it that you will know things are moving along!

Chocolate cake anyone?

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 21:52

well nothing new to report - been pottering around - continuing to have them fairly regular, and quite strong at times - but still very short.

DH is home now and pleading with bump to hang on until the weekend so he can get a few extra sales in to make the 2nd bonus level LOL.

lulumama · 23/05/2007 22:08

go to bed then !

DaisysGotABigBump · 23/05/2007 22:12

Good Luck FA, and hope it all starts moving swiftly through the night and we have another lovely bouncing baby in the morning.

I've had terrible insomnia, so I may check in in the wee small hours!

Sugarfree · 23/05/2007 22:46

Checking in.
And checking straight back out again.See you in the morning FA.

LadyOfTheFlowers · 23/05/2007 23:38

Ooh, glad I didnt miss anything whilst looking for cars on tinternet....

Agree with Lulu. If nothing major is happening, go to bed.
You may need all the energy you can get your hands on before morn!

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 23:41

I'm off to bed now - still getting them quite regularly and having to breath through most of them too - but still not very long ones only about 30-45 seconds (the painful bits of them anyhow).

Shall probably be on here in the morning to say they've all stopped and that I must have dreamed them all today LOL.
