Was that a show I've just had????????????

I've just been to the loo (sorry TMI coming up LOL) and when I wiped there was a big 'lump' of jelly like mucus - wasn't brown or tinged with blood - more of a very milky weak tea/coffee colour.

I've been having lots of twinges this morning - infact was lying in bed this morning and had a few quite strong BH's.......timed the 1st 2 or 3 and they were 7 minutes apart - turned my back on the clock and played "guess the time of the next one" - and for about 1hr they were regular at every 7 minutes....

Now obviously it was a show I know it could still mean that labour is days (or even weeks) away....but I just wondered if it WAS a show.

Oooooo - exciting. Go for a walk and eat some Dairy Milk - sped things up a treat for me after my show.

seamonster · 23/05/2007 18:57

Then it will definately be tonight. Maybe.

sparklygothkat · 23/05/2007 18:59

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 19:01

seamonster - just seen your comment about climbing stairs - computer is upstairs - so I have to climb them each time I've been down to check on the DS's to come and update here with.......ermm well nothing really

Well I supposed if you're wanting all the details I did have another twinge downstairs just now - but was difficult to tell (as I'd just stood up) whether it was a contraction or just general horrible stretchy pg pains in my groin regions LOL.

lulu - I sent her a text earlier(which she replied to so I know she knows) - as she's quite a distance away (over 1hr drive) we agreed that I'd ring her once we were almost certain that things really were happening......it's a long way to drive for nothing .

notsofarnow · 23/05/2007 19:08

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 19:08

seamonster · 23/05/2007 19:08

May be wise to go by your watch as its with you all the time. Honest about the stairs, each time I went up I had a stonger contaction or two, apparently something to do with moving your pelvis. Maybe later?

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 19:09

notsofar - The Apprentice is on later!!

don;t worry about timing them yet, it is how long they last that is important,i;d potter about my evening , and do whatever, and wait for labour to kick off properly !

Klaw · 23/05/2007 19:13

Lulu, off you pop, I'll hold the fort for you while you're away. but don't worry, you'll be back in a few hours and Fannyannie's got DAYS yet! LOL

GraceKelly · 23/05/2007 19:14

So, are we placing bets yet?

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 19:19

yeah I'll go first Sunday 27th May (so I hope you've got plenty of cake girls)

OP posts:
GraceKelly · 23/05/2007 19:22

lol, I was going to hedge my bets(!) and say either within the next 36 hours or not till Sunday!

DaisysGotABigBump · 23/05/2007 19:26

Here you go Fannyannie...if you're online anyway, this contraction timer may come in handy!

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 19:31

well DS1 my waters broke during the opening ceremony of the Sydney Olympics - he was born the following day so opening day.

DS2 my waters broke the day after I'd bounced around the room when we won the Rugby World Cup.

So the way I see it things must happen with this one around a sporting event - and the only one that I know of (apart from the footy tonight) is the Edinburgh Marathon on Sunday - as my brother is doing it LOL.

fannyannie · 23/05/2007 19:35

update to keep the cake munchers happy - just had one lasting about 40 seconds that I had to stop for.

Right off to get DS2 ready for bed
