Yet another childbirth is this it thread

Hi everyone
Started having contractions at about 7pm, only coming every half hour or so so went to bed before 10.
Don't know how often they're coming (still not very often) but I can't sleep through them now. Plus they seem to go on for ages - I thought at this early stage they would be fairly quick.
I don't really know what I want to know except I thought I'd go to sleep and they'd be gone by the morning (was expecting to go 2 weeks overdue). Does this sound like it, or will it probably go on for the next 10 days?

had a text from Katy at 3pm

"been sick and waters broke. off to hospital now. at last things are happening"

nothing since but i'm taking that as a good thing!

we're also waiting for news on Maveta, she needs lots of labour vibes please cos her waters broke but contractions stopped and sanish hospitals are very hot on medical intervention

Hi, got back from my night out about 2hrs ago but had to have 'a talk' with someone then post a really long message on my own thread...

BABY NEWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Noah finally arrived at 2pm today. 8ib 1 oz. He's gorgeous..Labour was long and drawn out but will bore you with the details another time! Thinking of you all and will catch up soon"x

I had baby Tristan at 5.35pm yesterday (27th). He was 7lb12 and is absolutely gorgeous!!

I'll post my full birth story in the next few days but I really wanted to thank everyone who helped me in the last couple of days as it really helped keep me calm and the advice you all gave me was fantastic! (Sorry for the Oscar style thanks)
