Big show this morning (leading to slightly panicked thread )....

Contractions now about 10 mins apart. Having a homebirth, so I'm going to be about lots, and thought I might as well start a labour chat thread

I'll update as and when...

Nothing for 1/2 an hour...where is everyone tonight?

Rummaging is what it felt like when dr had a go this week - wouldn't have been surprised if he'd come up with my appendix when he'd finished!

DD1 cried when her head was out and the rest still in...that was freaky!

Sorry, Flame, I'm rambling. Am going to go to bed and hope I wake up to good news from you. (May sneak back once or twice as I get up in the night anyway...)

Frizbetheexpansionset · 23/02/2006 22:16

Nite, Jas, think I'm gona head the same way!
Good luck flame, hope to wake to good news from you

MerlinsBeard · 23/02/2006 22:29

I need to grab at least a tiny bit of sleep.

I really hope things go to plan and if u need someone online let me know and i will come online (just gimme a sec to make a brew first lol)

(((((((FLAME)))))))

MrsDoolittle · 23/02/2006 22:35

Goodluck tonight Flame - Thinking of you.

Flamesparrow · 23/02/2006 23:07

Hiya guys... sorry for being gone so long. still 10 mins apart - though lasting nearly 2 mins each and bloody hurt.

Tired and frustrated... what happened to this whole "second labour being faster" stuff??? I was pushing by now with DD!!!

Rummaging turned up nothing...

Heathcliffscathy · 23/02/2006 23:12

i mean in between contractions obviously

Flamesparrow · 23/02/2006 23:13

Just realised that I haven't got anything decent to eat after the birth, or anything like biscuits for midwife etc

Looks like I'm stuck with toast... I was wanting croissants, but ate em all on Tuesday

Flame get MW in and get your waters broken, that'll speed things up, up and away! am keeping anyone on here late company as can't get to sleep too damn uncomfy!

Frizbetheexpansionset · 23/02/2006 23:14

apparently the midwives around here like toast, so reckon you'll be ok!

CaptainDippy · 23/02/2006 23:19

MeAndMyBoy · 23/02/2006 23:25

I'm sorry it's not progressing as quickly as you'd hoped. Hang in there, you're doing great.

Flossam · 23/02/2006 23:32

Like everyone has said I hope things zoom along nicely for you tonight and we get back on here in the morning to a lovely birth announcement. xxx

Tabs · 23/02/2006 23:37

Dearie me flame - still no baby .

Well off to try and settle Pippa shortly, so will prob miss the big event in the night now, but hoping that you don't have too much longer to wait, and that there's a lovely big birth announcement and picture to look at in the morning.

xx

MeAndMyBoy · 23/02/2006 23:52

I'm off to bed, hope everything has started happening more quickly for you and that you are holding your lo very soon.

Just remember my dear that the hare didn't win the race

I had a very irregular birth with DS (my second child) who was prosterior.

You will get there - just relax and let it happen

Good luck - I hope it all goes welL

Flamesparrow · 24/02/2006 02:30

Had a bath going with the theory of it would either speed things up, or slow them enough for me to get some rest....

Got out and contractions are now between 3 & 6 minutes, and hurt oodles. Midwife on her way (with her lovely gas & air ).

Bouj · 24/02/2006 05:45

Not for another 9 weeks, but am so sick am willing it to be over . How is dd1? Has she had her surgery? I had the 25th in my head for some reason, but its probably not a Saturday! Sorry for hijack flamesparrow, sending you encouraging labouring vibes!

calebsmummy · 24/02/2006 06:50

Was hoping to read some news!
