Big show this morning (leading to slightly panicked thread )....

Contractions now about 10 mins apart. Having a homebirth, so I'm going to be about lots, and thought I might as well start a labour chat thread

I'll update as and when...

Flame just texted to say nothing more is happening. Contractions still every 10 minutes but getting stronger.

She has abandoned the PC for the sofa for a rest, I am sure she will be back soon.

Will keep you updated if I hear any more, my ill boys willing.

MrsDoolittle · 23/02/2006 15:11

Grabbing the sleep while she can - sensible girl!

calebsmummy · 23/02/2006 15:13

Yup, I reckon so! She'll be glad later. Can't wait though V. exciting!

Helen38 · 23/02/2006 15:32

ooooh flame!! only just logged on, how exciting hope all's going well still, will try and check back later

Jasnem · 23/02/2006 15:34

We don't know the sex.... I think another girl.

Hope you're resting now Flame. Won't dare leave the computer again in case I miss it all.
Swimming with DD1 at 6 - could you try and have her before then for me?

FrannyandZooey · 23/02/2006 15:48

Ooh, good luck Flame, very excited for you!

Flamesparrow · 23/02/2006 16:20

I think before 6 could be cutting it a bit fine now!!! I'll wait til you're back instead

Sorry for big gap... been snoozing (sort of... big mean contractions can be very distracting!).

Still about 10 mins (some closer), but getting much stronger.

Rest is good - whatever you can get.

Will be thinking of you while I fend off the "haven't you had it yet?" comments.

fastasleep · 23/02/2006 16:38

Flamey, try to remember not to sit in the corss legged position (just in case) I did this with DD, because it made the pain a little less - it stopped my contractions getting any closer!

Glad you've been snoozing, hopefully you'll feel nice and energetic for the hard bit!

Whoooo! Whoooooooooo! Go Flamey! Go Flamey! Waves flag

mummygow · 23/02/2006 16:38

lol fastasleep

Miaou · 23/02/2006 16:40

oooh just seen this...all the best flamesparrow!

fastasleep · 23/02/2006 16:40

Best thing I did to speed up my labour was to walk up and down up and down then stop when I had a contraction and moan pleadingly at DH while slowly rotating hips - bloody hurt! But it speeded them up I tell you!

Don't forget to employ DH to rub your back constantly for about 3 hours, evil grin

SoupDragon · 23/02/2006 16:41

fs - waterproof keyboard for when you're typing from the pool I thought you had...?!

blimmin baby dragon is ruining my MN time!!

Flamesparrow · 23/02/2006 16:44

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh! That would make more sense! I was most concerned about how you sat to type

Flamesparrow · 23/02/2006 17:34
