Big show this morning (leading to slightly panicked thread )....

Contractions now about 10 mins apart. Having a homebirth, so I'm going to be about lots, and thought I might as well start a labour chat thread

I'll update as and when...

Best of luck flamesparrow, this is so exciting 2 labours in 2 days.

I had a homebirth 4 weeks ago (had loads of lovely gas and air though) my labours go from oh thats a strong twinge to f h** this hurts in about 5 minutes so was unable to keep a running commentary on MN

Ok it hurts like hell but it will be over quick and just think of cuddling up in your own bed with your baby afterwards.

"Having a homebirth, so I'm going to be about lots" PMSL!! I'm with sweetkitty on the "oh thats a strong twinge to f h this hurts" 5 minute transition, in compete contrast to my 2 hospital labours In fact this time, I went from "oh thats a strong twinge" to pushing in about 20 minutes Good luck!

LadySherlockofLGJ · 23/02/2006 13:18

Good luck flame - glad things are starting to get going!

MrsDoolittle · 23/02/2006 13:26

It's a funny thing to understand I think.
Dh printed off my birth story to send it to his mother for some 'insight'. I refused point blank to allow him saying it was far too personal.
"Oh but it's okay for you to post it on the internet to thousands of people you don't know? How does that work?"
"Ah but that's different..." I tried hopelessly to explain.
