I'm getting really impatient, and Isbn is showing no signs of wanting to be born.

So far:
I am 40+4 today (was due on Saturday)
I am very heavy.
Isbn is currently residing on my bladder, and also a nerve on my left-hand-side hip.
It feels the lowest it has been, and I can't decide whether the tightenings are Isbn's bottom or muscles doing something.
For the past couple of days, I've been feeling sick, like morning sickness, and food has been giving me massive heartburn.

Don't get your hopes up, but I thought it would be a good idea to start the thread, because DH isn't technical enough to start one when the time comes (and is indeed very hesitant about even posting on it)

Hmm I think its bedtime and still no sign of anything here. Husband working 2 hours away from home tomorrow so could do with labour starting before he leaves.

Let's hope tonight's the night for us all :)

HugosGoatee · 01/12/2011 21:49

Having very tight tightenings here- you could bounce a ball off my belly if you felt inclined- though not exactly painful.

Have watched whole ep of I'm a celeb & eaten quite a lot of ice cream..

Hoping baby comes soon as I planned on writing thank yous into the Xmas cards

CarolCervix · 01/12/2011 22:24

nickelbabe · 01/12/2011 22:25

wouldn't that be weird if we all started together? Grin

I'm off to bed now.
I thought i had a couple more twinges, but i think it was Isbn turning around on its axis.

Hi, how would u feel about a Newbie working the Graveyard shift? Last night I kept an eye on proceedings - and the leaky wine bottle - from this side of the Atlantic. I hope you ladies in waiting sleep well and we'll b ready for whatever yr night might bring...just please don't all deliver at onceWink

Jacksmania · 01/12/2011 23:48

Between us we have four hands (and an unlimited stock of virtual wine :o) so I think we can handle just about anything :o

fionamaryan · 02/12/2011 00:00

Hey Jacksmania - how's yr day going?
PS hv u any actual experience I this birthin business? I might leave the technical stuff to you - I'll b the one holding the cameraGrin

Jacksmania · 02/12/2011 00:03

Well I've got a nursing degree from several decades ago not much help as I only worked as a nurse for two years before switching careers and one DS who's birth was one of those shitstorm horrible ones even less help so erm no I don't think I'm much use! :o
Unless someone has a backache, I cam help with that :o

Jacksmania · 02/12/2011 00:03

whose not who's
WTF

fionamaryan · 02/12/2011 00:09

PMSL - I'm a nurse too but know nowt abt delivering em. As for when I had my own kidlets, well that's a whole other story...glad 2 have u on board Boss!

Jacksmania · 02/12/2011 00:18

Oh you're a nurse - are you working in Van?

MightilyOats · 02/12/2011 00:26

Internals are really not all that bad, provided the mw has big enough hands of course. First mw had really small hands and that rummage bloody hurt. Never had a sweep mind Grin

Hope all you would be labourers all get a good nights sleep and that thimgs kick off properly at a civilised time tomorrow Smile

fionamaryan · 02/12/2011 00:28

Yup. Is thumbwitch up and about yet? Humph- the kids are asking for a snack. Can't they see how busy we are here? Obstetrics calls for A LOT of concentration... I can't flip open tubes of Pringles with one hand and catch a baby at the same time...Angry

Jacksmania · 02/12/2011 00:36

I'm hearing a lot of snoring. This may be a boring evening.
I'll be back :)

nickelbabe · 02/12/2011 02:38

I'v not been sleeping well - feeling sick.
No more twinges though, i don't think. Confused

OP posts:
fionamaryan · 02/12/2011 04:09

Sorry, I wasn't sleeping on the job, honest Blush-helping the kids with homework. How are you feeling now?

FellatioNelson · 02/12/2011 04:24

Oooh. Feeling sick. That sounds hopeful. Is baby moving? Because they tend to go a bit still just before they ready to come out. Although your is ready to come obviously. Maybe he/she is looking for his/her coat and keys and can't find them, or has lost one shoe. That can make you late getting out fo the door IME.

Jacksmania · 02/12/2011 04:31

Any news?
