I'm getting really impatient, and Isbn is showing no signs of wanting to be born.

So far:
I am 40+4 today (was due on Saturday)
I am very heavy.
Isbn is currently residing on my bladder, and also a nerve on my left-hand-side hip.
It feels the lowest it has been, and I can't decide whether the tightenings are Isbn's bottom or muscles doing something.
For the past couple of days, I've been feeling sick, like morning sickness, and food has been giving me massive heartburn.

Don't get your hopes up, but I thought it would be a good idea to start the thread, because DH isn't technical enough to start one when the time comes (and is indeed very hesitant about even posting on it)

hohohomouse I notified everyone last week that I was closing down my Facebook and it's been a blissful week :)

I have also been avoiding my usual cafes as I got a bit sick of 'c'mon baby' and 'we thought we'd see you with the buggy'. All well-intentioned, but a pain in the bum nonetheless. And I visit a lot of cafes!!!

I have been Christmas shopping with DH and this is the first chance I have had all day to come on here and this is the first thread I have read.

Just as an aside, I am only 20 minutes away and used to work in a book shop if you get stuck (and feel you can trust me ).

I really need to get a life have been checking in periodically through the day on my phone.

I was dreadful for nesting when pg. My lovely mate and her fab children came to stay and I bustled round after them picking up every stray crumb and raisin the very second it hit the floor. I was insufferable.

Nickel I really think baby is holding out to share his/her birthday with me, it is the best day :) I have a feeling you won't be waiting too much longer now....

How long do we give Nickelbabe before we start shouting "Troll! You aren't really pregnant at all!" ?

I think this thread will get to a 1000 posts before the baby puts in an appearance just to really spoil Nickel's planning. A whole live birth thread where baby fails to make a performance.

If baby is being like this now, I dread to think what the little troublemaker will be like out in the wild! I think you got a right little devious one in the making there!

Nickel can I suggest you jump on DH tonight and have some sex? It worked for me with DS. Went to bed and we attempted sex, although I must admit it was not wholly a successful session. , but I woke up uncomfortable at 7.30 the next morning, had a bath, called the midwife and DS arrived at 9am.

Ps my sympathies if you are over your EDD, just 3 days with DD and I was a loon. Avoided FB, Skype, etc.

oh, god, i've got to be careful what i say now - my sister (my REAL LIFE sister) has joined the thread!!

Just a quick check in to say still no baby here. Went to ikea today and have spent the afternoon putting up flatpack, have knackered my back and pushed my DH into a state of despair, he can take no more DIY. House now looks pretty fab so hoping baby comes soon before the kids destroy it. Sweep first thing in the morning and then appointment with dh for some of what will probably be the unsexiest sex ever. My Mw is on call tonight and really want her but not so much as a twinge here so don't suppose that's going to happen. Have eaten second pack of Mw biscuits too have also drank what should have been post baby champagne at dinner party last night, obviously not all to myselfalthough would have liked too

I hope everyone else is cracking on nicely noticed somebody calypso was giving you a hard time back in the thread, I thought you were very restrained, well done and please whinge away that's the point surely

I know i have said several times how bored i am, but i am really, really bored now.
I feel miserable.
have been to sainsbury's tonight to get supplies for my cover (whether she accepts them or not is another matter....), and i was walking round thinking "this could be my nesting instinct too - making sure there are enough supplies to survive a nuclear fallout..."
when all i want is for the bloody contractions to start, or some water to pour out, or something real to happen.
I want to nap, but i don't want to nap, i just want to get this bloody thing started!
