I'm getting really impatient, and Isbn is showing no signs of wanting to be born.

So far:
I am 40+4 today (was due on Saturday)
I am very heavy.
Isbn is currently residing on my bladder, and also a nerve on my left-hand-side hip.
It feels the lowest it has been, and I can't decide whether the tightenings are Isbn's bottom or muscles doing something.
For the past couple of days, I've been feeling sick, like morning sickness, and food has been giving me massive heartburn.

Don't get your hopes up, but I thought it would be a good idea to start the thread, because DH isn't technical enough to start one when the time comes (and is indeed very hesitant about even posting on it)

i do realize, with hindsight, that had i just started a thread entitled "why do i feel a bit uncomfortable, could i have a uti?" then the labour would have started within minutes, and I'd had a snuggly baby by now.

Brew & cake anyone?

I'm stuck at home with DD running a raging temp, unfortunately refuses point blank to take medicine, she's had a bath and i've snuck calpol in her cordial also very boisterous 19 month old. Sick one's just fallen asleep so i've parked baby in front of tv and come to see how you're doing.

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 05/12/2011 15:02

oh FGS get a move on woman!

WeThreeKingsOfMardyBra · 05/12/2011 15:11

While you're waiting, have you read the orgasmic birthing thread btw!

OhDoAdmitMrsDeVere · 05/12/2011 15:12

I swear down (as the young people say) we better get photos as soon as is decent once you do have this baby!

Slightlytinsellyexpat · 05/12/2011 15:30

Nobody should tell Nickelbabe to get a move on! Reminds me of my DF saying, "Well, we're all waiting, Slightly" when DC4 was overdue. Made me feel like some kind of inconveniently inefficient baby machine. Nobody should feel like that ever again, imo.

[Completely irrelevant to childbirth but, earlier today I was talking to you about Nottingham. I know Carlton and Radford. I was a student in Nottingham. My kids call Southwell home.]

nickelbabe · 05/12/2011 15:32

Go nickel!

I am going to entice babe out with mince pies (crap, just realised the flaw in this plan - means i can't have any)

Slightlytinsellyexpat · 05/12/2011 15:44

Yep. Southwell is lovely. I'm on the other side of the world right now, just thinking about it!

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 05/12/2011 15:47

LadyWellian · 05/12/2011 15:54

If it's any comfort* I got to 42 + 5 with DD. People started assuming we must have had the baby and just not bothered to tell them.

  • as in, it's highly unusual and you are bound to give birth before then
BaroqueAroundTheClock · 05/12/2011 16:01

I may pop into the religion chat thread while I'm around - seems a bit rude not to since I've said hello here.........not sure I'll discuss Taize...

nickelbabe · 05/12/2011 16:01

that's really not a comfort! ShockGrin
i cannot wait another 10 days!!!! Shock

OP posts:
BaroqueAroundTheClock · 05/12/2011 16:17

someone needs to tell that baby to get a move on - that Nickel is up to mischief as she's getting bored waiting!!

CuriosityCola · 05/12/2011 16:25

Any new labour 'signs'?

nickelbabe · 05/12/2011 16:35
