I'm getting really impatient, and Isbn is showing no signs of wanting to be born.

So far:
I am 40+4 today (was due on Saturday)
I am very heavy.
Isbn is currently residing on my bladder, and also a nerve on my left-hand-side hip.
It feels the lowest it has been, and I can't decide whether the tightenings are Isbn's bottom or muscles doing something.
For the past couple of days, I've been feeling sick, like morning sickness, and food has been giving me massive heartburn.

Don't get your hopes up, but I thought it would be a good idea to start the thread, because DH isn't technical enough to start one when the time comes (and is indeed very hesitant about even posting on it)

Bugger.

Still in one piece then?

Is this the world's most precipitious Live Birth Thread?

You tauntess.

CarolCervix · 02/12/2011 21:59

Right I'm back.

What have I missed?

I am so knackered and dehydrated my eyes itch but I have fresh gloves so go for it!

PelvicFloorOfHighTensileTinsel · 02/12/2011 22:10

I always catch up with the live birth threads really late so I get a sort of fast action replay and a baby after a bit of reading. I can't believe this thread is over 350 messages long and there's not one, out of all babies, arrived yet.

nickelbabe · 02/12/2011 22:11

i think it did arrive - did you send it signed for?
I wasn't at the shop when the post came, so I got a red docket - i texted DH to get him to fetch it for me on the way back from work (being a postie's wife has its advantages Grin ) . Except he completely forgot to do it.
Hmm

Bloomin' 'ell can you collect on a Saturday morning? Guess if he's delivering he may have the inside know how. Is he working tomorrow?

nickelbabe · 02/12/2011 22:15

sorry everyone for not having produced a baby yet.
I've been sure that "today's the day" for days now!

But I've just been dealt a blow that the Choir I'm expecting for the WI carol service on Wednesday might be pitiful - and the organist who is due to do the whole service can't do it, because the twatting bastards at the job centre have changed his day (of the wanky course he has to do in order to keep his benefits) to Wednesday, and they won't be reasoned with. bastards. it makes no difference to them that he's been committed to this carol service for 3 months, and that it's letting down the entire WI Group (so about 200 people) - they told him if he doesn't attend the course, they'll stop his benefit.

cos letting people down at the last minute makes him a great employment candidate Hmm

bastards!

YankNCock · 02/12/2011 22:37

Only just spotted this, marking my place, c'mon baby nickelbabe!

MudAndGlitter · 02/12/2011 22:39

Marking my place. Good luck

PelvicFloorOfHighTensileTinsel · 02/12/2011 22:42

If the TENS machine is at the post office then sod's law should say tonight's the night! From some previous posts it looks like sod's law isn't 100% effective on overdue babies though...

CuriosityCola · 02/12/2011 22:43

Good luck Nickel. Hope you get to use it on time and that you have the pads xxx

Thumbwitch · 02/12/2011 22:44

Oh nickel, sorry about the WI thing, that sounds shitty what has happened to the organist. :(
Hope the baby doesn't come just yet, I have LOADS to do today and won't be sitting on MN nearly as much as usual!

stripeywoollenhat · 02/12/2011 22:45

if it's any sort of consolation, i had a tens for dd's birth and didn't even turn it on...

nickelbabe · 02/12/2011 23:01

thanks everyone.

I'm off to bed now.
hoping sod's law will start overnight (if it does, DH can always nip to the PO at 6 to get the machine Wink)

Jacksmania · 03/12/2011 00:00

Ok, the night shift is here.

Now where's that wine...

fraktious · 03/12/2011 01:13

Just done mammoth feed....no baby yet?

After your snooze try twiddling your nips!

girlsyearapart · 03/12/2011 01:44

Contractions sounding promising!
Good luck nickel.

Had a crappy evening here.

Dd2 tantrumming like there's no tomorrow.
Dh deciding to tell them he d build a camp before bed with them then getting in the bath until bedtime.

Cue post bedtime hyping up antics meaning dd3 wouldn't sleep & screamed her head off for absoutely ages.

Shortly followed by row with Dh who was going to go out to his friends 30th party.

Fine for him to go out- it was his birthday- not fine for him to drink too much to drive..

He thought I was being pathetic cos the party was only 5/10 min away & I was fine with him going to work (taxi driver so he could end up anywhere)

Tried to explain it was the drinking not the distance but no he didn't get it.
Also explained that I haven't had a drink for 9 frigging months & been having pains on & off for 3 days now.

So he stormed off to bed at 830 pm managing to make me feel like a cow for not 'letting' him go out on his birthday.

Ffs I haven't had a drink on my birthday for past 4 out of 5 birthdays!
Now dd3 up crying again & the other two have both been up.

And Im having loads of pains.

Want things to happen tonight so I can be proved right about him going out.

End of hijack..

fionamaryan · 03/12/2011 03:23

Sorry you are having such a rough night girlsyearapart - sleep well Smile

FellatioNelson · 03/12/2011 05:06

Shock nickel what ungodly language! Especially in a sentence about the WI and church choirs - just doesn't seem right somehow. I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time as I imagine you are flooding with hormones and cacking yourself a bit, but if it continues I am going to have to hand you a bar of soap young lady. Grin

SESthebrave · 03/12/2011 06:50
