I'm getting really impatient, and Isbn is showing no signs of wanting to be born.

So far:
I am 40+4 today (was due on Saturday)
I am very heavy.
Isbn is currently residing on my bladder, and also a nerve on my left-hand-side hip.
It feels the lowest it has been, and I can't decide whether the tightenings are Isbn's bottom or muscles doing something.
For the past couple of days, I've been feeling sick, like morning sickness, and food has been giving me massive heartburn.

Don't get your hopes up, but I thought it would be a good idea to start the thread, because DH isn't technical enough to start one when the time comes (and is indeed very hesitant about even posting on it)

oh the irony, when 2 months ago, i was so happy enjoying being pg, that i laughed at those who were getting so frustrated that their baby wasn't appearing!
i thought "but it's going to hurt! why do you want it to hurry?"

I haven't got the "i just want to meet my baby" thoughts, but i just want it over and done with.

life is too short for ironing... it also appears to be too short for doing one's last assignment before childbirth, despite having not much else to do....

just been dancing: now i feel exhausted and slightly queasy. did i mention that i more or less slept all night last night, for the first time in weeks? anybody else got a crumbling left hip?

i reckon all of these little beggars are waiting for the full moon. that's the 10th....

nickelbabe · 02/12/2011 15:54

I slept quite a lot last night too!
Shock

still, over on ExquisiteChristmasCake's thread, she's just come back to say she's 7cm dilated.
so i'm feeling happy that she's not yet given birth Blush

stripeywoollenhat · 02/12/2011 16:10

7cm is heading for the really ouchy bit though, as i recall

usingapseudonym · 02/12/2011 16:14

I'm massively impressed she got to 7cm without really noticing... maybe we can do the same?!?!

nickelbabe · 02/12/2011 16:16

I want to notice!
and she spent the whole day usurping my thread shopping and ironing stealing my followers

OP posts:
stripeywoollenhat · 02/12/2011 16:16

oh i hope so. or , you know, 9cm without noticing...?

Sparklingbrook · 02/12/2011 16:17

Is it possible you have all had your babies and not noticed? Grin

usingapseudonym · 02/12/2011 16:19

Maybe its just a huge ball I've got up my jumper after all...

stripeywoollenhat · 02/12/2011 16:21

the ball up my jumper has feet, though

nickelbabe · 02/12/2011 16:22

Perhaps the stork delivered something while you were at work nickel. Was it in a moses basket on the doorstep? Smile

FellatioNelson · 02/12/2011 17:38

Jog home Nickel, jog!

youtalkintome · 02/12/2011 17:44

Ok apparently i've fucked up, i didn't realise i was supposed to come home after sweep and have sex straight away, gah. Why did nobody tell me this apparently according to my 2 friends everybody knows this, she had a walk a sweep and then sex 3 times Shock then had a baby.

Not much happening here apart from me fielding calls from my mother don't think i've even had a BH.

TheOriginalFAB · 02/12/2011 17:45

DD was overdue to I had a long walk, rhubarb and custard, a curry and more walking. She was born the next day.

FellatioNelson · 02/12/2011 17:49

Right, I'll tell you what started me off a week early with DS3 - stress. I was 39 wks and (very foolishly) offered to have my Dsis's 4 kids over for a few days in the summer holidays as my kids wanted to see their cousins. For two whole nights and days I had:

A 9 year old
An 7 old
A 6 year old
2 x 5 year olds
A 4 year old.

Towards the end of day 2 they were all bickering and fighting and I had a bit of meltdown and threw a total hissy fit at them all, shouting, screaming probably threatening smacks-- and then I had to go to the loo to cry for a bit.

Anyway, my sister collected them at teatime, and by midnight I was in the labour suite. Grin

Nickel can you borrow 6 children?

Harley07 · 02/12/2011 18:36

kids sorted 4 boys 13, 12, 6 and 10 mths and a girl 4yrs will put them on the train now xxxx

youtalkintome · 02/12/2011 18:38

I feel close to a melt down, on my own with the dc, dh has phoned to say he has made a mistake regarding work next week and is no longer finishing today. I haven't had one single meal cooked for me have been looking after the kids on my own all the time have just been to Sainsburys which took about an hour to buy hardly anything with both dc. My mother won't stop phoning me to ask what's happening and i have just burned their dinner. Jesus what's a girl got to do to get a break around here If my dh phones one more time at 8.30 to ask what's for dinner i may actually fucking murder him and breathe.

Like that Fellatio?

Sparklingbrook · 02/12/2011 18:38

You can have my 2 as well........

usingapseudonym · 02/12/2011 18:43

youtalkintome -sounds familiar in that my husband has been working away mon-fri and his work aren't cutting him any slack - he is definitely "on duty" over the weekend with toddler though.

I am just exhausted. Not sleeping well and all I want to do is sleep/ watch tv/read/bath/ do nothing but toddlers don't really accommodate that do they!? We did baking this morning (but don't tell anyone I left the mince pies in too long and will have to do them again) and went to the park this afternoon.

Want to try and do a walk tomorrow to see if that helps. Child has a party to go to - would it be cruel to make husband take her to a room full of people from pre-school and their mums that he doesn't know?

TheOriginalFAB · 02/12/2011 18:45

Not cruel at all. Mine does most of the parties and doesn't mind.

Sparklingbrook · 02/12/2011 18:48

You do realise though using that everyone will think you have had the baby as you have sent DH. Grin
