It’s so true Teen, she is a menace. she’s saying that ADHD isn’t real, neither is autism - it’s all an anxiety disorder. Which is just a fear disorder, which is just too much adrenaline.
She’s also now moving into supporting trans kids, according to one of her videos.
I’m glad to hear that your daughter is feeling much better. I’m so pleased for her. I’ve name changed again since I last posted so you won’t recognise my name.
DD is continuing to do well thnk you.
If she supports trans kids without medicalisation she might actually do some good.
Mibb2 · 02/08/2022 13:32
I wouldn't trust this company near any kids.
After watching Sam's videos, I understand they believe mental health problems are something to be ashamed of and that Anxiety is a physiological disorder caused by hormones and has absolutely nothing to do with mental health, but can be fixed permanently using a non-medical 'formula'.
Also that ADHD, ASD and dyslexia are not real but are all just symptoms of an anxiety disorder.
BruisedSkies · 02/08/2022 14:55
Yes, mibb that’s pretty much it. I hate the fact that they act like a mental health condition is something to be ashamed of but a physical condition is ok. It’s such a backwards step. (Cue new video from Sam saying that a mental health condition is nothing to be ashamed of. No doubt she’s still monitoring MN)
I also don’t like the fact that they say ‘everything you’ve done up until now has made your child worse.’

There's now a thread in AIBU - AIBU to warn you about this company offering solutions to child's anxiety and school refusal?
Not sure if I'm allowed to link to it here
Great, thanks, have added a comment and link to free local support groups

This is what they’re saying…
BruisedSkies · 02/08/2022 14:59
perfectstorm that’s a lot of emails! What are they saying?
That's quite a wierd email! Very spammy?

This current thread www.mumsnet.com/talk/am_i_being_unreasonable/4603344-to-ask-how-you-felt-if-you-failed-an-autism-assessment-as-an-adult is quite interesting. It mention some people 'failing' autism assessments because they actually had anxiety.
Which of course is not the same as saying that autism is actually anxiety based and can thus be cured.
BruisedSkies · 03/08/2022 10:04
That thread is really interesting. I know people who are waiting on ASC assessments. Nhs so a long wait. But they have also had high stress childhoods. As a lay-person, it’s impossible for me to tell whether someone is suffering with deep rooted anxiety so struggles with change and social situations, which they then self-diagnose as autism. Or whether it’s autism and anxiety. Or whether the autism, plus a tricky childhood has exacerbated the anxiety and made the anxiety worse that it would be in a neurotypical person. I have no idea.
What I certainly wouldn’t do, is go online and make a video to say that if you agree with what I’m saying about anxiety, then your child definitely doesn’t have autism.
Mibb2 · 03/08/2022 11:57
Agree @BruisedSkies
My child is currently part way through an autism assessment and from my experience I wouldn't say that ASD diagnoses and 'labels' are being handed out all over the place as Sam suggests. There was an incredibly long developmental history form to be filled in, and we are now waiting for assessment sessions with a psychologist. This is through CAMHS.
I also have experience of private ADHD assessment which was also quite an arduous process.
I think those videos are encouraging people not to seek appropriate treatment / medical advice, which is also one of the things they were told not to do by the ASA.
I wonder if the ASA can investigate them again?
BruisedSkies · 03/08/2022 12:27
It’s also that she’s encouraging parents to ignore a diagnosis that they’ve got. She’s just not right. Got some weird power complex where she thinks she’s come in and just knows better than ALL the professionals in that field. Which is what she’s always done. But she is now branching out to other areas.
Don’t know if ASA can investigate again or not.

@BruisedSkies I agree, and with that "power" she will literally just turn people off if she doesn't want to listen anymore or doesn't like what you're doing, your opinion etc. Not only is it rude it is cultish - almost listen to me, agree with me, do as i say or you're out.
I see the comments on their FB posts, in particular the many whose children have a diagnosis, and want to scream at them to stay away.

Hi, I'm new to Mumsnet. Just seen this thread and I'm really startled. We have a call with these people at 6.30 this evening. My step-son has ADHD and atypical autism, is on meds and his anxiety is out of control. We were really hoping they would be able to help. Have people actually had bad experiences of them or is these more generic comments? And any other ideas for combatting horrendous anxiety that the private psychiatrist doesn'
t seem able to touch? Thanks x
TeenDivided · 03/08/2022 18:59
@3xteens I think you my be able to help @NickyRus
