Growing up i remember my dad having a Peugeot 309 and then a Rover 218. My mum had an Austin Metro, and later on a Renault 5.

A Hillman Hunter, followed by a Horizon, followed by five Cavaliers one after the other.

No other car won my dads heart like the Cavalier did although I’m baffled as to why…

At various stages a Morris Marina, a Renault 4 and a Ford Mexico.

None. There are photos of me and my siblings standing on the pavement outside our terraced house in the 1970s. You can see right up the street and there are three cars parked. And I remember who owned them😆 My dad could drive but only ever rode a motorbike. My mum said she was too scared to learn.
