The power of Mumsnet...I actually had a reasonable nights sleep!!

Work night out tonight. Bongo's Bingo in Clapham. Not sure what to expect but I wasn't going to turn it down. I'm hoping to find a good balance of doing stuff/doing nothing this year. I get so exhausted, but I don't want to spend the rest of my life on the sofa! This blasted cancer has at least resulted in the reconnection of some old school friendships. Every cloud... sometimes you just have to search a little deeper for the silver lining.

@Earlandmrsgrey you are so right. Life is incredibly short and my word it can be cut short mighty quick! I’ve got the candles burning and wearing the boots that I’ve never got out my wardrobe. I’ve just been sat intently , watching a pigeon trying to balance on a holly bush branch in the wind, whilst pecking at the berries. See you in the CA for a drink later? 🍸

@EarlandmrsgreyI’ve been following your posts since the first thread last year. I was just drawn to it.
this is the first time I’ve posted but I just wanted to say what a wonderful lady you are and brave beyond words. I’m sorry to read about your recent prognosis and I sincerely hope you get to enjoy every second with your family and friends.
My 2 year old son was diagnosed with cancer this year out of the blue and I keep coming back to this thread as you bring so much positive energy and it gives me hope.
Sending lots of love to you xx
