That’s amazing news!

We take part in lots of fundraisers for The Brain Tumour Charity as some friends are very involved as they sadly lost their daughter to a brain tumour some years ago and started fundraising back then. It is so fantastic that the treatments can be so successful now.

Wishing you all the very best.

PeppyTealDuck · 08/10/2025 11:39

Wonderful! So very glad for you, that's amazing news.
Wishing all the best for you now and in the future.

Your post reminded me of this poem;

Sometimes

Sometimes things don’t go, after all,
from bad to worse. Some years, muscadel
faces down frost; green thrives; the crops don’t fail.
Sometimes a man aims high, and all goes well.

A people sometimes will step back from war,
elect an honest man, decide they care
enough, that they can’t leave some stranger poor.
Some men become what they were born for.

Sometimes our best intentions do not go
amiss; sometimes we do as we meant to.
The sun will sometimes melt a field of sorrow
that seemed hard frozen; may it happen for you.

What an awesome update! I'm so pleased for you Flowers

Partridgewell · 08/10/2025 17:44

That's great news OP. I am so, so pleased that the advances in treatment have led to outcomes like yours. My mum died of a brain tumour when I was young and I am absolutely thrilled that your story has a different ending because of the hard work people have put in to finding effective treatments. I wish the billionaires of this world would pool their money towards that end.

ArabellaScott · 08/10/2025 18:34

Wishing you all the very best, OP, and continued recovery.

I've just read all of your posts, Wells37. I lost my dad to cancer nearly 10 years ago, it's so nice to read a positive story. Xx

Absolutely fantastic news @Wells37 . What a difference a year can make 🙏
I am going to recommend that an acquaintance that is close to my best friend joins MN and reads your journey.
Unfortunately she has recently been diagnosed with a BT and has just started Chemo ( oral) plus radiotherapy. She has had exceptional ,prompt care so far . Am not sure what type of tumour but hope she has the positive outcome that you are experiencing so far .
I send you my best wishes and hope you continue to get better .Xx

Really Amazing

BellaVita · 09/10/2025 10:30

@Wells37 what a wonderful update 😘

boredwithfoodprob · 09/10/2025 13:17

just read the whole thread. My dad died of a brain tumour so it’s always a subject that catches my eye, sadly. It’s amazing that your story has taken a huge positive turn. I hope you can start to rebuild your life and your health - the treatment sounds like it’s been gruelling but I love your positivity and the way you have used food and supplements to help. I know that immunotherapy works best if you start with a healthy gut biome. By the way, did they ever find a primary tumor?
