Patttsy · 05/06/2006 16:24

Now, it is just a suggestion, following the lines of UKCampsite meet ups.

I am really good at making suggestions, no good at the fine details, if someone/anyone thinks it is a good idea we could if you are all in agreement try and go somewhere for next year (forward planning!!) Or the weekend before school starts in Sep 2006?

What do you all think?

(Don't all rush at once...I know my threads are sooo popularWink)

SS....I gather from a few other threads that actually while you are foraging shitly in the archives you are not revising! Will MN be accepted as an extenuating circumstance???

(what's it like, eh? Total strangers nagging you!!! Grin)

Well that's okay then! Grin

Like the idea of a camping meet up....suspect DH will run a mile though ( can't cope with MN...every time he looks he only sees the cringey threads...which I won't detail, cos one man's cringey is anothers very important and worthy!!!)

Cadmum · 05/06/2006 22:57

We would love to come! Dates are still very flexible. DS9 DD7 DS4 DD 3months.

Patttsy · 06/06/2006 12:13

Sooo, next year seems initially to be good idea for everyone.

Now, the fun bit, we do we meet up, bearing in mind there are MNers up and down the country (and abroad!)? Do we want a campsite/caravan park with loads of amentities or just a lovely site in a good location? In forest/woods or near beach?

If we post some of the websites of places that might form a shortlist?

What do you think? Do you think we'll be able to come to a consensus?

Arrrghghhhh

Only because I am desperate to go but away already that weekend (unless you lot fancy Seaton for carnival weekend?), or 1st week in holidays.

Any other time yes, aboslutely.

ds's, 5,6, 3 next month

Surfermum · 06/06/2006 16:35

I'm still up for it! But can't do the last weekend of the hols as we're on our way back from France.

Cadmum · 06/06/2006 17:26

Are you now thinking of next summer or still the last week before school this year?

Sorry... I must be easily confused!

Patttsy · 07/06/2006 12:29

Probably next summer would be best, most people have book/made this years' holiday arrangments I guess.

Have been able to look at sallystrawberry's link as my home computer is playing up, major breakdownSad

I was thinking maybe we could suggest the campsites.

bresha · 07/06/2006 12:50

i would be up for that next year, sounds fun, any idea on were?

peachyClair · 07/06/2006 16:44

The consensus last time was Gloucestershire iirc, as fairly centrallish and accessible. The forestry commission have a site there, but I think some others had recommendations too.

We need to know, perhaps, where everyone is? I'm in South Wales, 15 minutes from the Bridge

giraffeski · 07/06/2006 16:48

I might be interested, are we bringing kids?

giraffeski · 07/06/2006 16:48

sorry, am in Cheshire/South Manchester.

Surfermum · 07/06/2006 16:49

I'm on the South Coast near Poole.

bresha · 07/06/2006 16:54

im on the iow

jessicaandrebeccasmummy · 07/06/2006 16:57

im in essex.... and cant travel too far coz of nightmare kiddies!!!

peachyClair · 07/06/2006 17:08

We'll travel within reason- we need somewhere very central don't we? We couldn't go to the east coast with DS1, but middle would be OK
