How did this happen. I am so, so ashamed of myself. I used to weigh in 13 stone, then overhauled my whole diet and got down to 9stone 8lb.

But I've put it all back on. And so much more. This is shameful and I cannot believe I have let it get this bad. I've even had to buy some size 20 tops. I have tried slimming world but that didn't really
Work for me. So I'm back to calorie counting. And 5:2. From today. I've got to stop making excuses. I am going on an amazing holiday in January with my 2 best friends and. CAN'T be the size I am now.

I am sick of feeling tired, uncomfortable and just plain shit because of what I eat. I've taken before photos (won't post them as they would scar you forever) and have stuck a photo of myself at my smallest when I still thought I looked fat on the fridge for inspiration. I can do this!!!

Of course Stellar, you're more than welcome. It's such a struggle to lose weight :( are you planning on calorie counting?

Welcome @Stellar67!

@TellysAndWellys are you feeling better after your early night? Weighed yet?

Stellar67 · 23/09/2017 07:48

Telly yes calorie counting. Tried other ways but it feels like changing a diet then going back to old ways if you get me? At least I can make my own choices and hopefully build new habits. Might try 5:2. I've been on other threads but this one has people my size on!
Thank you lampert.

lampert · 23/09/2017 10:35

Well I have lost one of the pounds I put on on our mini holiday so I'm now +1lb from last Friday which isn't toooo bad. Hopefully I can shift off the remaining one over the next week.

We have a birthday party and a wedding this weekend but at least because I'm not drinking my calorie consumption won't be as disastrously high as it would have been! I'd really like to lose a few pounds before I start putting any on!!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 23/09/2017 10:58

Hello all, I can report the cakes were excellent and I may have had two Krispy Kremes. And a blueberry muffin. And a pain aux raisins for breakfast. And pub lunch. And a Chinese takeaway with prosecco for dinner Blush But, it was a one off for marking my last day at work, and I'm taking yesterday as my no calorie counting day rather than today. Today I have had a small bowl of granola and a coffee and done a PB at Park Run so hopefully will all balance out. Will have tuna mayo in some form for lunch I think, and homemade chicken curry with masses of spinach this evening.

TellysAndWellys · 23/09/2017 11:04

Morning all! Feeling lots better thanks! Been and weighed in a 2lbs down! So 13stone 11lb now, 10lbs lighter 😬

Stellar I really get on with 5:2. I lost a lot of weight when I did it last time so hoping I'll have just as good results this time.

Well done Iampert! Yeah the lack of thinking will make a big difference, plus if you're anything like me, the hangover breakfast and takeaway Blush

You sound like you're doing really well Heir! Everyone deserves a treat, and sober job is something to celebrate

Please excuse all my AWFUL typos in my previous post. Serves me right for trying to multi task.

Been out for dinner AND tea today. Entered my calories into MFP(had to estimate as cals weren't on either of the menus) and came out at 2500ish 🙈 Definitely back on it tomorrow, out for dinner again but already looked at the menu and planned to have.

How's everyone else done today?

HeirToTheIronThrone · 23/09/2017 19:31

Hmm. Well I did park run and just had cereal and coffee for breakfast and skipped lunch. Having a lowish calorie curry for supper. But very stressful dinner time with shrieking DS has led me to crisps and a pint of ale! And I may well have another one in front of Strictly. I'm counting it all though, to remind me of the calories. Tomorrow is another day! Although one where I have made a chocolate courgette cake for coffee with friends and my mum is taking us to the pub for lunch...

TellysAndWellys · 25/09/2017 06:17

How did you get on yesterday Heir? I was out all day and ended the day on about 1150 cals so did ok I think! Back to one meal a day today, just got to keep my head in the game now. Went shopping in the sales yesterday and brought a few things in a size 12 ready for my holidays so got to keep focussed now. I can do this

Happy Monday everyone!

Morning ladies, did you have good weekends?

I tried to be moderately good this weekend and weigh the same this morning as I did on Friday so I'm quite happy with that.

Well done on your park run @HeirToTheIronThrone

Fab to have some inspiration @TellysAndWellys, it's so satisfying when you can fit into something in a smaller size!

I'm off to an all day event today so food is a bit out of my control but I am going to leave before the dinner and get home to have something sensible.

lampert · 25/09/2017 21:13

Well today I have had a Mexican chicken wrap, some baked crisps, a lower calorie ready meal Thai red curry (twice in a week, what's happened to me!!) with extra veg and half a millionaire shortbread.

Stayed in my calories but a day of too much processed / not home made stuff.

My food shop comes tomorrow so we'll be back to normal then!

How are you all?

TellysAndWellys · 26/09/2017 06:16

Morning everybody! Iampert how was your weekend? How are you feeling?

Yesterday's menu sounds good! I finished the day on 1205 calories but like you, it's a lot of processed stuff as I grabbed a sandwich from Tesco again, plus a bag of snack a jacks. Need to get back into one meal a day, some days it's really hard. I did drink 3 litres of water yesterday so that's one good thing

Going to do some shopping tonight as well so going to meal plan for me and ds after later then stick to that shopping list and not be swayed by cheap deals.

How are you Heir?

lampert · 26/09/2017 08:54

My weekend was lovely thank you @TellysAndWellys. How was yours? I am feeling fine! So fine in fact, I'm worried something is wrong!

3 litres of water is good work, well done! I need to drink more but I always forget. I'm glad to be working from home today so I have no excuse today and will try harder!!

The problem with me working from home is that I barely move!!! I'm expecting a new charger for my Fitbit to arrive today so I'm gonna start wearing that again.

@HeirToTheIronThrone how are you doing? Have you started your new job?

@Stellar67 @MuchBenham are you still with us? Smile

HeirToTheIronThrone · 26/09/2017 09:21

Hello! I start my new job next week lampert, enjoying a week's gap with time to myself! Doing lots of running but also lots of eating, hoping the one cancels out the other...

TellysAndWellys · 26/09/2017 19:35

I had a good weekend to Iampert! I wouldn't worry about lack of symptoms, except for a few period like pains, I didn't get any symptoms at all till about 13 weeks. Then they came on with a vengeance! How has today been?

Hope you're enjoying your week off Heir, are you excited for your new job? Well done on the running!

I've had 200 cals so far today (yoghurt and banana). The thing is, I don't feel hungry at all now so wondering whether I should have something or not? Although what I've got planned is only about 400 cals so not like I'm planning on hitting that all you can eat buffet again in my dreams

Just had my tea so ending the day on 600 calories. Going out for tea tomorrow and Friday though and lots of cocktails so need to try keep as low as possible. Didn't feel very hungry but now I've had something to eat, I suddenly feel STARVING Confused

OP posts:
lampert · 26/09/2017 21:36

Well I have been terrible today. I ate way more than my 1200 cals, but did stay within 2000. What a plonker. I didn't feel hungry but I just kept on eating. Nothing unhealthy apart from some crisps but I just kept wanting to eat. Drawing a line under it, tomorrow will be a better day.

@TellysAndWellys you sound like you aren't really eating much, don't go too crazy!!!

TellysAndWellys · 26/09/2017 22:01

We all have days like that and especially with you being pregnant you're appetite is going to be all over the place. Like you say, tomorrow is a new day.

I know. The thing is, I used to overeat SO MUCH. I logged a typical day just out of interest yesterday and it was 3000 calories Shock. I will eat and eat and eat. Plus with me being veggie, that reduces my calories a lot. My diet is VERY carb heavy and my typical dinner at work would be a small sandwich on whole meal bread, a bag of crisps, yoghurt and a bit of fruit. But I'd have a massive carb crash after lunch, to the point where I couldn't keep my eyes open but since I've been trying to cut down on the junk, I have had SO much more energy.

And I know this sounds bad, but I NEED to lose a lot of weight. I'm in the obese catergory and I can't look like this when I go on holiday, it will ruin it which I know sounds dramatic but it will. I'll feel self conscious and will hate every picture of myself taken. So I need to try my utmost to lose as much weight as possible before January. But as I say, out for tea tomorrow and Friday so the lack of calories today will definitely be made up for!

Stellar67 · 26/09/2017 22:28

Hello, still here. Did okay today. Had a protein yoghurt tonight to curb crisp cravings.

lampert · 27/09/2017 07:40

Wishing you all a happy and fat burning day!

I have been organised enough to make lunch to take to work today, yay! I've got a 'skinny wrap' from Sainsbury's (it's like a thinner wrap -mans only 100 cals) and filled it with lots of salad and some coronation chicken. I'll see how hungry I am, I might get some soup to go with it.

Stellar67 · 27/09/2017 07:48

Lampert I have a mini wrap. 93 cals and have salad and Gouda in it. Fruit and low sugar jelly too.

Have a great day!

SadGuru · 27/09/2017 08:21

Hi, can I join in as well please? I'm so happy to have found fellow people a little vertically challenged like me! I'm 5 feet tall (or short) and weigh 9st 8.7lb. My goal weight is 7st 12lb. I find it hard to stick to any specific kind of diet. I think trying to calorie count and limit carbs may be a way forward. I'll be using MFP to calorie count. Not sure if I can commit to the 800 calorie diet yet!

lampert · 27/09/2017 09:52

Welcome @SadGuru

I just ate my wrap for breakfast which was meant to be my lunch!!! Doh! 226cals devoured before 10am Blush Think I'll be having soup for lunch a v v v low cal dinner to make up for it!

SadGuru · 27/09/2017 09:57

Thank you lampert. I am at a all day work event today. Have been good and just had the coffee. I'm not sure how long I can avoid the tempting Danish pastries that have been laid out with the coffee!
