How did this happen. I am so, so ashamed of myself. I used to weigh in 13 stone, then overhauled my whole diet and got down to 9stone 8lb.

But I've put it all back on. And so much more. This is shameful and I cannot believe I have let it get this bad. I've even had to buy some size 20 tops. I have tried slimming world but that didn't really
Work for me. So I'm back to calorie counting. And 5:2. From today. I've got to stop making excuses. I am going on an amazing holiday in January with my 2 best friends and. CAN'T be the size I am now.

I am sick of feeling tired, uncomfortable and just plain shit because of what I eat. I've taken before photos (won't post them as they would scar you forever) and have stuck a photo of myself at my smallest when I still thought I looked fat on the fridge for inspiration. I can do this!!!

Well done @TellysAndWellys !!! That's amazing that you've gone down a size. I think that is one of the most satisfying feelings, ever!! Yay!!

Where are you off to for your weekend away!

I've no idea where I'm going tonight, DH is in charge! Smile

TellysAndWellys · 06/10/2017 14:34

Today is going rubbish, have done nothing but eat. Had my dinner at 9, an aero, a can of Dr Pepper then a slice of millionaires short cake 😭Feel really sick now.

But thanks!!!! I feel so chuffed and it's so good to see real results. Helps keep me on the straight and narrow.

I'm going to Sheffield to watch some comedians. Never been there before so I'm
Excited.
Aww that sounds lovely, is it a birthday treat? Whatever it is I hope lots of yummy
Food is involved!

Ooooo telly that sounds fab!! Any famous comedians? I love watching comedy! You'll have such a lovely time. Are you going with friends?

I have had a low cal ready meal lasagne (which reminded me why I don't normally eat readymeals!!) and a low fat choc mousse and some grapes today. Not great really!!

I don't know where tonight's dinner is, it's a bday surprise! :-)

TellysAndWellys · 06/10/2017 20:08

They're called the Impractical Jokers? They are on Comedy Central. I'm going with my sister, her boyfriend and his sister. So it'll be nice to go somewhere different and we all have a laugh.

My day has been terrible. I won't even tell you what I had for tea because I am ashamed of it. If I've lost any weight tomorrow I'll eat my hat might as well, ive eaten everything else

Ooo I'm jealous. Really miss that side of relationships. Have an absolutely lovely evening Flowers

Good luck Tellys FlowersSmile

lampert · 07/10/2017 08:16

Good luck @TellysAndWellys!! You will be fine.

@HeirToTheIronThrone let us know how you get on!

HeirToTheIronThrone · 07/10/2017 08:49

Thanks chaps! Not ideal conditions as the weather is crappy and 22 month old has apparently forgotten how to sleep this week... but shal soldier on! I am proud of myself for eating pretty well this week, given the stresses of starting a new job and lack of sleep!

Well done on the clothes tellys! I love those non-scale victories.

TellysAndWellys · 07/10/2017 11:04

Didn't lose anything :( but not surprised as I've just eaten junk and high calorie teas every night this week. I'm happy I haven't put anything on. Really need to give myself a kick now, 12 weeks tomorrow until New Year's Eve and I have a party to go to and want to look good. Only lost 3 pounds in 3 weeks so feel like I've wasted them weeks BUT going to enjoy today/tonight then crack on properly.

How was last night Iampert?

FlowersThank You for the good luck Christmas

And thanks Heir, you should be proud of yourself! It's way too easy reach for the junk so you've done really well

HeirToTheIronThrone · 07/10/2017 20:36

I did it! Ran the whole thing in 1 hour and 14 minutes. Yay!

Using this of course to justify an enormous pizza for dinner. Back on it tomorrow!

I'm 5foot 2 and weigh 14stone 8lb
TellysAndWellys · 08/10/2017 07:35

Wow well done Heir!!! That is amazing, you have well and truly earned that pizza. And cheesy garlic bread and chips Wink

I'm wide awake in the hotel room. Shared a room with ds's dp's sister (would be so much easer to write that if I could just say I shared a room with Jane ha) and she is a VERY loud snorer. You know when every nerve in your body is screaming and you could easily beat someone to death? That's how I felt at 4am this morning. I'm not used to sharing a room with another adult. God help me in Sydney!
But anyway, wouldn't say I did too bad yesterday, jus and stuck to 3 meals and didn't have any dessert or snack. But I did consume a LOT of alcohol. Had a brilliant day though. We're going out for breakfast before we head home then I promised ds a dominos for tea tonight so back on it tomorrow and I'm going to try my absolute best. No chocolate, crisps, takeaways, fizzy drinks, bread or cake. Which was pretty much my diet last week Blush

Happy Sunday everyone, the weekends go way too fast

OP posts:
lampert · 09/10/2017 10:54

Well done @HeirToTheIronThrone, what a great achievement!! Hope you enjoyed your well deserved pizza!

Glad you enjoyed your weekend @TellysAndWellys, how was the comedy? Good work on the no snacking too!

I have had a fairly naughty weekend foodwise but the good thing is that I can't seem to stomach more than a small portion, I feel stuffed really quickly so I'm eating little and often rather than big platefuls. That seems to have helped as I haven't put on any weight this weekend (thank goodness!).

I am exhausted from pretending to drink all weekend. Only one major blip where my mum sipped my appletiser which was nicely disguised as champagne in a flute! She completely noticed but I hope I managed to bluff my way through without her guessing.

Today however, is my 30th and is going to involve a big walk, pub lunch, homemade dinner by DH and definitely a slice of cake somewhere along the way! (If my stomach settles long enough to shovel some in!). I probably will regret it on the scales tomorrow but right now, I don't care!

Wishing you all a happy Monday!

TellysAndWellys · 09/10/2017 18:03

It was really good, loved it. Had a huge pizza, cheese bites and Ben and jerrys for tea yesterday though so not good. Ending today on 673 calories. Going try to do 3 500 cal days a week, Monday Wednesday and Fridays. Although I'm 173 cals over that already. Really really need to go for it now.

How far are you now Iampert? How are you feeling?

And a massive Happy Birthday to you. Hope you are having the most wonderful day Cake

OP posts:
lampert · 09/10/2017 19:06

Ooo that sounds indulgent but nice @TellysAndWellys

DH made me a 'cake' in the shape of 30 out of 9 m&s caramel shortbreads!!! Amazing! I don't feel like sweet stuff but I will have a bit after dinner. He's making it for me now :-)

I'm officially 7 weeks but I think I'm actually more like 6. I'm feeling ok, just quite nauseous at times and more tired than I ever thought possible!! This is the first time in my life I've been off food - I couldn't finish a bowl of soup earlier! I am also not really enjoying meat very much which is unlike me, but I'm sure it won't last.

Thanks telly, I've had such a nice day today!!

Is tomorrow a 500 day?

TellysAndWellys · 09/10/2017 19:16

Yeah it was too much, I just got carried away.

Ohmygoodness that sounds amazing. Caramel shortbreads are my FAVOURITE as well. I am so jealous, enjoy!

Hopefully in a few weeks your appetite will come back and the nausea will pass.

Well I'm off out for tea tomorrow (I know, so I like me Grin). 700 is still really good so just going stick to one meal a day, and just try to have a lower calorie tea Wednesday and Friday. Really need to get my arse in gear

OP posts:
TellysAndWellys · 09/10/2017 20:31

Ugh ended up consuming another 300 calories on a glass of wine and biscuits :( feels really despondent again, 12 weeks on Friday till I fly, I'm stones and stones over weight. These 12 weeks will fly and I need to do something and stop saying 'there's always tonorrow'. Anyway, just having a moment of panic

OP posts:
lampert · 09/10/2017 21:26

@TellysAndWellys you weigh less now than you did a month ago, and you will weigh less in 12 weeks than you do now. Don't worry so much about the amount, just as long as the numbers are going down over time you are fine!!

I just stood on the scales and I hopefully I'll be similar tomorrow to how I was today. I am really not eating well at all - far worse than I normally do.

Today I have eaten a croissant, three grapes, a mini ginger ale, half a bowl of carrot soup, a magnum (bday treat), small portion of tagine with cous cous (though hardly any meat) and half a caramel shortbread. What a disaster. I really need to get back to eating normally :-(

TellysAndWellys · 10/10/2017 07:56

Yeah you're right, I just get very down on myself sometimes. Feel lots better today, going treat myself to dinner at work at my favourite place (jacket potato of course!) and then going out with my friend later to plan what we want to do in Sydney!

Have you been logging what you're eating? Even when I eat rubbish (every day 🙈), I log it so I can just see what I'm consuming

OP posts:
lampert · 10/10/2017 10:39

Sounds nice telly!

Yes I'm logging everything, which makes me feel worse when I see the crap I've eaten. The fresh veg and fruit I normally love just doesn't appeal at all at the moment.

I am finally back to my pre-weekend away weight (finally shook off that 1lb gain) so I'm pleased.

Today's dinner will be tagine again, lunch will be whatever I can face between now and then!

CamdenTownie · 10/10/2017 15:23

Hi!

I’m a bit late to this thread but would love to join as it seems very motivating, and that’s just what I need at the moment.

I’m 5 ft 2 and currently 11st 3.5, I’ve been using MFP to log calories and have lost 5lb in the last week. Three years ago I was 13st 13lb Shock and I managed to get down to 9st 11lb within a year, I kept it off until about February this year and it’s just piled back on.

My weight was really depressing me and I just kept thinking about how hard it had been to lose previously, but m hoping to get as close to 10st as possible by Christmas.

I’ve worked out that I really do need to cut down on the carbs in order to lose weight- Slimming World didn’t really work for me!

Tonight I’m having Linda McCartney sausages with mushrooms onions and tomatoes for dinner. I’m quite surprised just how far I can get 1200 calories to stretch when I put my mind to it Smile

Hope everyone else is having a good day!

lampert · 10/10/2017 17:44

Welcome @CamdenTownie. 5lbs in a week is amazing, well done!! Carbs are my nemesis too - boooooo!! Your weight fluctuation sounds just like me too.

I'm on 302 cals today so far. My dinner will be around 350 I think and I will try to resist but I expect I'll tuck into a bit of caramel shortbread afterwards!

TellysAndWellys · 10/10/2017 18:13

Wow amazing Camden!!! That's brilliant. Welcome to the group.

Iampert you're doing really well. It's good your logging stuff and it's too easy to just eat and eat, not log anything and then pretend it doesn't count or is that just me

Food today has been jacket potato and beans for dinner and a cheese and quorn ham toastie which wasn't ideal but was lovely, followed by a yoghurt and a small bag of popcorn. So ended the day on 1147 cals, although I did have to guess at the calories in the potato and beans. So feel ok.

500 day tomorrow then same again Friday. Still feeling slightly panicked that I've got 12 weeks till I go BUT like you said Iampert, I way less then I did a month ago and will weigh a lot less in 3 months. I have really bad anxiety and it's just another thing for my silly brain to worry about.

How has everyone been today? I'm just off to my friends to make lots of list whilst ds is having a sleep over at my cousins!

OP posts:
lampert · 10/10/2017 20:45

Sounds like a fun evening @TellysAndWellys

I think I'm ending today on about 800 calories.

Ive had another utterly rubbish food day. A mini can of spaghetti hoops, a light choc mousse, grapes, veg tagine and half a caramel shortbread. Blush

CamdenTownie · 10/10/2017 21:30

Thanks for the welcome!

Today I’ve finished on approx 1050 calories. I don’t know how you guys manage on 800 calories each day let alone 500 - my breakfast is 299!

Today I’ve had:
Breakfast- oats, water, banana chia seeds choc pot spread, dash of milk

Lunch- 2 satsumas, 3 x ryvita whole grain crisp breads 3 x dairylea light triangles, fibre one salted caramel bar

Dinner - 2x Linda McCartney’s sausages, mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, new potatoes, mini milk lolly

That looks like an awful lot written down!

CamdenTownie · 10/10/2017 21:36

@TellysAndWellys just wanted to say I know how you feel regarding the anxiety, I’m the same and recently it’s got really bad, definitely not helped by my constant worries about my weight Flowers
