A discussion on another forum (not a parenting forum, may I add)has made me think-me and my friend both made breastmilk cocktails for our DPs and friends to taste, and just thought of it as a cool thing our bodies could do. Apparently we are weird. Are we?

Just looked at the link, I bloody hate little Britain, WHY is bm disgusting (that is the joke) but because cows milk, mass produced, full of hormones to increase production, is just fine. I don't get it!

I hate it too. My point was, I don't find that funny. I don't for the life of me understand why anyone would.

Its funny if you find the idea of breast milk disgusting or even if you find the idea of bm for anyone other than babies disgusting. I was chatting to someone last week who said did you read about x celebrity saying she is bfing her 3 year old and is happy to feed until he is 6 or whatever. My response was good for her, she was 'oh no I don't think it's right' WHY?? Why does she a)care or b)think its 'wrong' bell interupted our conversation so I didn't get to ask her but I really think I am in the minority in thinking cows and human milk are both just milk, and bfing children over 12months is really not something to worry about.

But I suspect that I am over thinking this thread and really should get to bed.
