A discussion on another forum (not a parenting forum, may I add)has made me think-me and my friend both made breastmilk cocktails for our DPs and friends to taste, and just thought of it as a cool thing our bodies could do. Apparently we are weird. Are we?

Lissy, if your friends knew it was BM, good luck to you and your social circle but, yes, as you asked, unusual, possibly weird.

No doubt there are people who would happily drink sperm cocktails in enjoyment of what their bodies can do; good luck to them too. Also weird.

You can't accidentally squirt someone with bm. It's not the fluid I object to. It's the bloody fact you're deliberately squirting it at people!!!

that's ok trinity - none taken, it's just that I do think - bizarre though that may seem - that for someone to deliberately squirt their bm at 'people who annoy me' is weird as well as anti social. You claim to have enjoyed a bit of the same activity yourself when out having jolly fun with your mates . Which tells me all I need to know about the state of your social life.

My old boss once squirted breast milk in my eye (I was her nanny) we pissed ourselves laughing for days over it.
Mind you we were both a bit sleep deprived looking after her newborn twins.
Never drank it mind, the babies would have pissed off at me for stealing their milk.

I never assumed she was squirting it at strangers

I have breastfed in total for over four years
I have squirted some (close friedns or dh) aboiut 5 or 6 times in that time

all just being stupid and harmless fun
only done at people who would jump cause they got wet, not because they were grossed out

OP has described 2 scenarios.

1)BM cocktails to be drunk by consenting friends. WEIRD? Yes, to most people, but what the heck? I hate ALL milky cocktails and milkshakes but if you like milky stuff, no problem.

2. squirting bm at people who annoy you? Rude

But why bring this stuff up unless a troll/ stirrer?

I really think that we have lost touch with nature in a major way. I think that it is to do with mens fear/jealousy of women which has led society to feel suspicious and uncomfortable with childbirth and breastfeeding.

The very idea that it was generally accepted not so very long ago that formula (developed by male scientists) was obviously better than breastmilk speaks volumes about the position of men and women.

We accept women as workers (almost as competent as men) but we really havent accepted motherhood as important. We also feel that nature can't just be, it has to be controlled.

Way too late for a deep and meaningful but ishoos with breastmilk hark back to ishoos with women and nature generally.

I have no problem with breastfeeding ...just don't want it squirted at me or on my cornflakes really

I am a woman, have BF my children, no fear of bm but would think it rude if anyone squirted ANY fluid at me for any reason.

PS by Ishoos do you mean issues?

My DD was very jealous of her new baby brother, especially feeding times. She really bugged me about BFing. In the end I expressed a little milk into a cup and offered it to her. She tried it, was not impressed, and found new things to bug me about instead. Are we weird too?

I just think most people would be more grossed out my breast milk than cows milk, my dh is really squimish about it, but really they are pretty similar substances, but on here people are comparing bm to sperm, wee and poo, which are totally different.

In answer to the Op - lissy, I ain't scared of bm but I reckon I'd be dead frightened of you and those milk squirting tits of yours. You need to get them under control babe. You might get yourself arrested.
