my cousins just had her third baby, baby is a week old, when talking to my mum after mum had been to visit, mum said the baby was going every three hours, and that she got to have a cuddle after the baby had been fed.

when mum said the baby was being bottlefed, i said oh thats a shame, mum got quite annoyed with me.
i would not of said that to my cousin or aunt or anything.
and now im wondering if i was out of order saying that.
please be honest, i won't mind if you say i was, i just thought it a shame

I smoked until about 4 months before we started ttc ds. Never had an urge to smoke since. I managed to save £600 while I was pg using the money I would have spent on fags so bought myself ds a nice pram. I couldn't believe how much I saved.

I dont know how someone can not smoke for 9 months then just start again.

I really dunno, I know loads of people that start to smoke again after having their baby.

When I went to see my best friend in hospital when she had her ds she left me with him so she could go have a fag!! This was about 4 hours after giving birth.

No, hunker wont be coming back, and couldnt even if she wanted to. She is still very much involved in b/feeding issues though, and has her blog www.howbreastfeedingworks.com if you need her.

Moondog - perhaps I didnt my comment re hunker very clear - she is fed up of combatting falsehoods and the accusations of militancy/nazism/etc when all she is trying to do is help women. She feels like she's an easy target. I didnt mean to infer it was all at your hand. You really dont blardy help though, and to be fair - she's much better at the whole sensitivity stuff

well ive never smoked, so i truely cannot understand it at all, my mum and dad where like chimneys, they used to smoke in the car with the windows shut and it was like being gased!

thats probably why ive always hated smoking and never even smoked in my youth, even though mum and dad told if i wanted to smoke i could.

Yes, she has said it to quite a few people I know and in front of me once at the clinic.

I honestly think they are mad. She is the one who kept checking my ds crib looked slept in to make sure we didnt have him in our bed.

Ahhhh, moondog I see! Yes, I chose to mostly ff dd but I know the score. And I don't feel particularly guilty (weighing up all the risks and that) but next time I will be trying to bf for longer.
