What does your toddler call breastmilk?

Just melting at my ds (16m) word for a feed, saying in a disgruntled voice ‘dood da’ and then giving a little happy chuckle when I get ready to feed him.

Very soft and unmumsnetty thread but what do yours call a feed?

Mine called it milk!

TooMinty · 06/09/2019 21:53

Mulk

TooMinty · 06/09/2019 21:53

Not a typo, definitely had a "u" in there!

ShowOfHands · 06/09/2019 21:55

Mine both called it mulk until they managed the correct pronunciation.

INeedNewShoes · 06/09/2019 21:56

Mine just asked for 'the boob' with lots of pointing, thankfully never in public as by the time she could talk we were only feeding first thing in the morning and then at bedtime!

GrouchingTiggerHiddenSomething · 06/09/2019 21:56

For some unknown reason my DD used to call it "bop" - now just a distant happy memory!

SlightlySleepy · 06/09/2019 21:57

"Mummy milk", this was because he also drank cow's milk and needed to differentiate between the two. I found it cute

Mine used to call it ‘more, more’. It was bit exhausting!

ThisHereMamaBear · 06/09/2019 21:59

My ds2 will say "Mama, he wants a boobing or nipnip" I have never referred to it as that 😂

ChangeyMcChangeChange · 06/09/2019 22:01

Baboo, no idea where it came from because we've always called it 'having a feed' or similar but it was one of her first words

newtlover · 06/09/2019 22:04

danceswithdeath · 06/09/2019 22:05

PeasePorridgeHot · 06/09/2019 22:07

JeremyCorbynsCoat · 06/09/2019 22:08

Boobie

RebornFlame · 06/09/2019 22:08

Ahh this is too cute! His big brother used to say mulk too.

He calls cow milk moo moo (but also says a fish says moo and a cow vice versa so not sure what to make of all that!)

Nothing yet. Just gets all excited and laughs like Beavis and Butthead when I offer...

MustardScreams · 06/09/2019 22:08

Dd called it ‘buh’ and then buhboo as she got older. She still wistfully strokes me saying “mummy I still like buhboo you know”. Yes dd, but we stopped 5 months ago and we are not going back!! V sweet though.

RebornFlame · 06/09/2019 22:09

I also get a lot of bwar (bra) up!!!

Mitebiteatnite · 06/09/2019 22:10

I knew a toddler who used to cry 'mummy milshka' if she wanted a feed. English was their first (and only) language so it wasn't a different language thing, it was literally what she decided to call it, much to her mum and everyone else's amusement. They had no idea where it came from!

I couldn't feed DD for very long, so she never had a name for it, and I couldn't feed DS at all. Sad

RebornFlame · 06/09/2019 22:11

barney it is such A beavis and butthead laugh Grin

Boo with lots of pointing, attempts at moving of my top out of the way and a big grin and/or laughing when I offer.

baabaalittlesheep · 06/09/2019 22:12

It sounds a lot like "tit" Blush but we don't know why because we've never called them that to her! We always say milk, or maybe boobies. I wonder if she's trying to say "milk", "drink" or just "it"? (Since she points to other things and says "dat" which I think means "that")

She shouts this word that sounds a lot like "tit" and grabs at my top regularly so it's a bit embarrassing!
