dd2 is rather tom-boyish, but just doesnt like boys. i think she wants to be the butch one!

oh she did like one boy, he was called terry, and he looked like a girl pmsl!!

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/08/2006 00:23

I would certainly not get shirty at your DS sniffing my naval, I would view it as an acceptance....

lusciouslynda · 27/08/2006 00:24

I don't think you should feel touchy about not having struggled. My God, how difficult do we want to make it for ourselves?!

Jimjams2 · 27/08/2006 00:25

Where on earth did you get that from VVV? You lot are a bit rabid (from someone who spent a lot longer bfedding than bottlefeeding and was far too lazy to have to cope with sterilising everyday). I don't see much in the way of nazi mudslinging going on here. Think scummy and custy are 2 who have managed to get across really well why the term rabid is felt/used.

Jimjams2 · 27/08/2006 00:26

No acceptance I'm afraid- he;d just be looking for a belly button ring -as he did to "jim" today, with a moustache, selling us double glazing. He also climbed on a chair to get a better poke at his bald head.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/08/2006 00:28

Yes, fantastic posts. It doesnt cancel out the many others, including the op, that say otherwise, though, does it?

Im sure I'm missing the very valid reason why its acceptable to name call and "mud sling". From either side.

aitch71 · 27/08/2006 00:29

just to re-iterate for the third time, i do not think that calling people fascist or rabid is anything other than potentially inflammatory and ill-mannered.

ditto calling formula 'junk' in a thread title which will inevitably appear in active conversations.

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/08/2006 00:29

I dare say he might find something in there, but it wouldn't be a belly button ring!

Jimjams2 · 27/08/2006 00:30

oh god I have to go to bed, apologies if I;ve upset nayone- I don't care enough aboout this subject to do that, but I do feel bad when I seee people being upset because they couldn't breastfeed, so tend to get a bit vocal. nighty night. I'm off to change a wet bed

(ps I do not have a belly button ring, that would be a hideous sight, but my lovely girls do).

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/08/2006 00:30

I saw that, and I am with you totally aitch. Wasnt suggesting otherwise by not having an opinion on why you didnt b/feed

aitch71 · 27/08/2006 00:30

exactly vvv, from either side it's bollocks.

aitch71 · 27/08/2006 00:31

x post vvv

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/08/2006 00:32

I feel upset for the very same reasons too jimjams. I dont like being called names, either way. Im off to bed too.

Night folks

aitch71 · 27/08/2006 00:32

misdee · 27/08/2006 00:33

ah sod it, i dont really care how people feed their kids, they can live on spam and white bread for all i care, i'm off to take my aching boobs to bed. its like having a newborn all over again [sobs]

VeniVidiVickiQV · 27/08/2006 00:34

whats wrong with people feeding their kids spam and white bread....

Take some ibuprofen x

hunkermunker · 27/08/2006 00:34

"i think it ultimatley hurtful to suggest we as mothers deliberatley did anything to harm our children."

Custy, this is the bit I have a problem with of your post. I would hate to think anyone ever thought I was implying that any mother deliberately set out to hurt their child by ffeeding. I know I'm taking your comment personally, but it was directed at "the bfeeders", of which I am very obviously one.

I post about bfeeding issues because there are so many myths out there, so much misinformation from midwives, HVs, family members, friends, etc, etc - and so much pro-ffeeding in everyday life (IME and IMO).

And look at the upcoming Channel Five programme if you don't believe me that bfeeders are the butt of every joke going. Saw a trailer tonight...am awaiting the "oh, did you see that programme" comments again, with a wink about how fucking odd I am to breastfeed past three minutes old.

SherlockLGJ · 27/08/2006 00:35

LGJ

Floats in, in a "Margo" esque fashion, picks up glasses, straightens cushions, opens windows to get rid of any rogue fag smoke and prides herself on not having got involved.

hunkermunker · 27/08/2006 00:35

And now you've all gone to bed, so so must I

nearlythree · 27/08/2006 00:36

I love the smell of SMA. Reminds me of so many snuggly night times.

aitch71 · 27/08/2006 00:36

i just assumed custy was talking about the 'junk' crack again... d'you think, hunker?

Jimjams2 · 27/08/2006 00:37

misdee are you stopping? With ds1 I did feed occasionally - every other one/two/three dayish when stopping- he was 13 months- otherwise it was too sore - ended up with mastitis as well so be careful, don;t let it build up even if you express. Can't remember with ds2.

nearlythree · 27/08/2006 00:37

I'm only still up because I'm waiting for the steriliser...

SherlockLGJ · 27/08/2006 00:38
