The OP does not need dieting advice, sensible as everything posted here is.
She needs fairly specialist help for her disordered thinking about food and eating.

I hope you are ok, dreamingalone.

"At 20 st for example you could eat a lot and lose weight.
It's about eating less than you were eating.
If op is say 6st what you described could put weight on, which would be good."

Of course...(I don't weigh that much, just to be clear, rofl.)

And if it was the difference between one meal or portion sizes or cutting out carbs then ok - but, the equivalent of eating just breakfast is a massive gap between food.

I just thought it might be helpful for the OP to see how little she's actually eating compared to me - when I am losing weight if you see what I mean. Because I think that she's not really understanding how little food she's eating and having something to compare it to might be useful.

I'm not suggesting at all that that is what she's eating, but more trying to point out that I am on a diet, which is working well and she's only eating my breakfast.

I've read most of your thread, dreaming and I really think you need to speak to your GP.

Appreciate what you were saying about feeling unwell because you'd eaten so little, but the way you'd phrased it made it sound as though you thought you felt crap because you'd eaten so much.

The way you discuss yourself reminds me of a friend of mine who struggles with depression and who has had bullimia. It could be that the AD's you're on are giving you a distorted view of things.

If you're breastfeeding you do need calories - you need to have the energy to make milk for your baby. Your milk needs to be rich. If you don't have sufficient energy/vitamins then yes you can supplement but you are putting your body under more stress by pulling out other nutrients that build bone, muscle etc.

I'm not going to suggest eating plans because I've never followed one in my life, and I don't think that's what you need. To me, it seems that you need is a way out of the negative thinking, and a way to boost your confidence and self-esteem.

Aw, sweetie, you have not wasted anybody's time but you need RL help - please phone your GP surgery tomorrow.
Will you consider doing that?
If not for yourself, then for your baby?
Be kind to yourself, you deserve it Thanks

dreamingalone · 26/01/2014 22:23

You haven't wasted our time and you haven't failed - please, please be kinder to yourself.

Believe me, I know how easy it is to listen to the thoughts that tell you you have failed or wasted people's time - for me, it is the thoughts that say no-one really likes me, why would anyone like me or want to be my friend, etc etc - but I am working on stopping myself when those thoughts intrude, and trying to replace them with more positive thoughts, and you need to try to do the same.

Like I said a few days ago, we are spending all this time and effort on this thread because we think you are worth it - I certainly am. Try to hold onto that.

{{{hugs}}}

I suspect you need to eat very small amounts - little and often - until, your stomach stretches a bit more.

naty1 · 26/01/2014 22:29

Good. . Good luck with it and getting everything sorted
