Yes I know its natural, but so is taking a pee and I would'nt do that in the middle of the restaurant, the mothers should do it in the bathroom

I wonder how many complaint letters he can expect in the next few days.

OK I've just sent in a rant and challenged him to a debate with well-informed women! (I didn't mention where these well-informed women are to be found)

I refused to feed my ds in the toilets its disgusting. At my OH's grandparents anniversary do (at a posh health club), OH's mother asked if there was somewhere I could feed ds (only a few weeks old at the time). They said they could put a chair in the bogs. She went ballastic - 'I'm not having my grandson eating his dinner in the toilet'. They backed down and let me use a nice room with a sofa in it - and kept my dinner warm until I got back. Unfortunately ds threw up all over the sofa (well I had spare clothes for us).

I think he was getting his own back personally.

But why do people think it is acceptable to feed babies in toilets? It just puzzles me - really why does this connection occur to them? I know the places I visited mostly were those with seperate feeding rooms for ds - surely it brings them in more business.

(In case any of you ever want to know - Bristol Zoo has a nice feeding room for babies(bit small though) - but shhh, they hide it and don't tell anyone its there - you have to find it for yourself)

I sent the following message:

I would like to complain about your ridiculous comments regarding breastfeeding, suggesting that mothers should breastfeed their babies in toilets and equating breastfeeding with urinating. Nourishing a baby is clearly different to excreting bodily waste. I suggest that if you think it is acceptable for babies to be fed in toilets then you would have no problem with eating your dinner in a toilet. I look forward to hearing of the ageing local radio dj who goes to a restaurant and eats his dinner on the toilet. If I do not hear of this then I will assume that you have seen sense re breastffeding.

Unfortunately I have just spotted that spelling mistake. Bugger!

Caligula · 07/07/2006 20:17

Is he aging then? I imagined him as a callow youth....

LadyTophamHatt · 07/07/2006 20:18

anyone else had reply?

I haven't but I suppose they know who we're all talking baout now....
