I know how you feel any. Ds slept through 3 times last week and now he's not going to sleep until 10 (after waking a gazillion times in after 7) and he's waking earlier too. Last week I thought we hit a milestone where I didn't need to feed him back to sleep after his first bedtime feed but it seems that was just a one- off.

And if one more person asks me if he's sleeping through yet I'm going to punch them! Why do people feel the need to make you feel like a bad parent if your baby isn't sleeping through at a month old?!

Never thought I'd consider wake ups at 11pm, 1am and getting up at 5am as a good night! But it just goes to show how awful the past 6 months have been!!

Just waved DH off again till Thurs night, so I better find some energy from somewhere!

larlemucker · 25/06/2013 09:35

We're here to keep you company lazza!!!

Much better night last night, I cuddled him for most of the night so not sure if that made the difference

lazzaroo · 25/06/2013 19:25

Thanks larle, knowing there are others out there in the early hours is keeping me sane! How's weaning going? We're doing 2 meals a day, usually breakfast & tea. Not much she won't eat it seems! Have tried a carrot stick, some toast and bit of banana as finger food, but I get a bit panicky about choking!! She obviously got a bit of carrot off and down as there was a chunk of carrot in her nappy the next morning! Smile.

Hope it's a peaceful night for all.

larlemucker · 25/06/2013 21:10

We're back to 1 meal as he was getting very constipated so the dr recommended we cut down for a bit.

He loves food though, he had some pear, mango and new potato as finger food tonight. He doesn't choke but he only sucks on the food. He loves purée, most of the finger food gets squashed in his fingers and thrown around the room!! The dog is enjoying it though!

lazzaroo · 26/06/2013 05:28

Here we are again! Not such a great night. In with me at 3.30am, awake at 4.40! Rocked her back to sleep but as soon as I sat down she woke up! Didn't have the energy for another 20mins pacing so got up (I know that was probably the wrong thing to do).

Dd1 has pre-school jabs today Sad. I'm preparing for a battle!

larlemucker · 26/06/2013 19:52

Baby larle has got a rash on his back, waiting for our of hours dr to call back. He seems fine in himself so hoping its heat rash

lazzaroo · 26/06/2013 21:21

Hope all is ok larle

Off to bed now! How long for is anyone's guess!

larlemucker · 26/06/2013 21:28

Been to see dr, fountains of vomit when we got there. Don't think pasta agrees with him

larlemucker · 26/06/2013 22:36

Dr not worried about rash, he thinks the rash and the vomiting are a coincidence. Currently dream feeding to try and keep him hydrated, he hasn't been sick for an hour now so fingers crossed its all out of his system

Anypants · 26/06/2013 22:55

Hope he's ok larle - sleepy dust for a good night (s'been a while since it was last sprinkled - hope it still works Hmm )

abi2790 · 27/06/2013 04:52

Glad babylarle is okay larle.

First feed here after going in his cot around 8:30. I hope he's back to sleep soon as I have very stingy eyes!

Good news larle

Night times are a game of 2 halves in this house. Up until 3am, all fine. In bed at 7ish, one feed at midnight, and sleeping in cot. All goes pear shaped after 3ish!

Plus dd1 woke last night. Think she had a bit of a temp after her jabs.

Am beyond tired! Dh home tonight....he can do the early shift tomorrow!

SoYo · 27/06/2013 10:12

Morning all

Back from wifi-less holiday house, I missed you guys! Night feeding is definitely worse without company.

After 12hr journey yesterday madam decided it was time for the worst night for a long time. Bed at 11.45 (there's been a lot of going to bed refusal over last week), up at 1.45, couldn't get her back down so co-sleeping until 5 with kicking & feeding & boob punching every 30mins until 5 then back in cot & up at 5.45 for the day.

I feel like I'm dying! I need caffeine, a bath & beige foods!

See you all tonight. Smile

abi2790 · 27/06/2013 22:17

Hope you had a great holiday soyo.

I definitely think ds is teething again as he is very bitey lately with the two teeth he already has.

I feel really sad tonight as I have decided to move ds into his own room starting from monday. He's 7 months next week so it's probably overdue but I feel like he's growing up too fast Sad.

Goodnight everyone. Spreading lots of sleepy dust!

Evening. Hope everyone's having a good sleep rather than just co-sleeping or too tired to post. Madam was a PITA to get to sleep but has just slept for 5.5hrs! Amazing! I'm hoping that's not us for the night but even if it is, she's done well.

larlemucker · 28/06/2013 08:49

Morning, we're still co-sleeping soyo, baby larle doesn't go longer than 3 hours without a feed ?? at least I can doze while he is feeding though.

Managed to wash car seat cover yest, now can't get the bugger dry. Spinning in machine at the mo then I'm gonna have to put the heating on!!

lazzaroo · 28/06/2013 12:10

Hi! Had first feed at midnight again last night. So good firstvstretch from 7pm. But it all goes to crap after that!! And she was up at 5am again! DH let me lie in until 8.30am though (just fed DD & back to sleep!) which was lovely & much needed!

Hope you all have good days!

abi2790 · 29/06/2013 01:52

This poor thread is being neglected lol,

First feed here much earlier than usual. I'm pretty certain he's teething as he hasn't been himself all day.

OP posts:
SoYo · 29/06/2013 03:13

First feed here but that's not saying much. Didn't manage to get her to sleep until 11.45! I'm getting very fed up of our bedtime fails!

Emilythornesbff · 29/06/2013 08:23

Hey sleepy heads.

So long since I posted. Sorry.
I have been thinking of you all and your LOs.
Been away and also often too tired to post at night.
Babythorne had a few nights when she pretty much slept through (after a 10 - 11pm feed until 6am) [premature flag waving] and then back to 2 or 3 feeds a night.
I am tired. I know she's still a bit young at 5 months but that would've been a real treat [sigh] see you all tonight. Smile

abi2790 · 29/06/2013 09:14

Well it took an hour to get Ds back to sleep last night including 3 transfer fails. He then woke up at 7 and I was still shattered so I got a quick nap in whilst he was watching cbeebies in his cot. He's fast asleep in his pram now poor thing. Definitely a relaxing dat for us today even though I have a huge pile of ironing to get through that can wait until tomorrow.

SoYo · 29/06/2013 20:06

Right, its night 1 of more appropriate baby bedtime. Last feed now for Mini-Yo, no repeat of the recent 11pm plus disasters (she says knowing full well I'll fail & give in). Who's holding on to all that sleepy dust these days?

P.S. I would offer round the Jaffas but I ate a whole pack in 5mins earlier. What a biffer!

larlemucker · 29/06/2013 20:26

Evening!

Been to a christening this afternoon, can you believe the vicar nearly christened the LO with the wrong name!
I felt a bit sorry for the parents tbh, the vicar seemed like he really couldn't be bothered.

Well DS is in bed with baby tv on! He always wakes when we go to bed so trying tonight to see if constant noise helps. Sat watching a film, Snow White and the huntsman. It's not meant to be great but it was filmed near where we live so trying to identify landmarks (and failing!!)

Erm, I've got peanut butter bar and weight watchers bars to offer as the Jaffa cakes have been gobbled! Tempted to make a brew and finish off the digestives!! WW totally out the window this weekend!!

SoYo · 29/06/2013 21:07

Poor parents indeed, the least he could have done was recognised it was a big occasion for the family & made the effort!

Madam was exhausted & went down really easily at 8.20, she was up again 10mins ago with the hugest mega screaming fit! DH is walking the halls with her to try to settle her without a feed. I think she might be teething, I can't feel any ready to come through but she's chewing everything like mad, dribbling constantly and has a nappy rash which she's never had before. It seems a bit early but who knows. I'm ready with the calpol & dentinox if the screaming carries on!

I'll take a peanut butter bar for some energy later, I have a feeling I'll need it!
