Welcome all to a shiny new thread for moral support during night feeds, general food envy and chit chat Grin

smicha I too had gestational diabetes, and I too am failing on the sugar!! [hsad] the smiles is a sweet idea [hsmile] and ditto on wishing parents lived closer!

HorridHeffalumpsWickedWoozles · 25/10/2012 01:27

Ah smicha the chocolate smiles are a lovely idea.

I'm just about to attempt transfer of babylump from me to crib, if successful then hopefully a bit of sleep is next on the agenda.

Here we go...

Goatbongosanonymous · 25/10/2012 01:34

Chocolate smiles - something else to go and investigate!

Ah, parents, I m very Sad because my mum has not even seen her one and only grandchild yet except for photos, thanks to her stupid and self-absorbed partner procrastinating on setting her up on Skype. My mum doesn't feel computer literate enough to do it herself. I am so gutted that she is missing out on the newborn phase.

Welcome to the newbies!

funchum8am · 25/10/2012 02:03

goat that is sad about your mum's partner being so crap .... No Xmas pressies for him then!

Feeding again here - babyfunch had gone 2 days with no poo and decided to rectify that today when poor DM was on duty while I had a nap [hgrin] think she was happy to show she can help though.
I also wish family were closer - my lot are 4 hours away. PILs live in the outer Hebrides, and SIL moved to the Orkneys last week! Think they are trying to tell us something!

Babyfunch has fallen asleep on the boob so about to attempt operation transfer...hoping for some sleep now. Can I place an order for some chocolate covered pretzels? They sound amazing!

Tallgiraffe · 25/10/2012 02:13

Wow, everyone's busy tonight!

Can't remember who was after carrier advice - we have an ergo and love it. Better for hips than the bjorn, comfy for me and babyG loves it!

My eating machine has put on 2lb in 2 weeks [hshock] clearly this means I need to eat more too [hgrin] Ican second the apple and blackberry thing from cafe Nero, very tasty.

Goatbongosanonymous · 25/10/2012 02:26

Hold your breath everyone, Kid is currently lying beside me! Not on me!!

TurquoiseFrankenCat · 25/10/2012 02:41

Hi. Can I join please?

4wo BabyCat is currently falling asleep on the boob AGAIN. I'm sick of being evil mummy with the awakening cold flannel, but will she hell take a full feed at once?

Goatbongosanonymous · 25/10/2012 02:41

Damn.

Goatbongosanonymous · 25/10/2012 02:42

Sorry cat that wasn't to you! Welcome!

TurquoiseFrankenCat · 25/10/2012 02:46

[hgrin]

Well, I'll try to put BabyCat down. 10 minutes is not pod slough though young lady AngrySad

Good luck goat - sounds as of you need it?

TurquoiseFrankenCat · 25/10/2012 02:48

*not enough. Not pod slough, that sounds like a weird house near reading!

NervousAt20 · 25/10/2012 02:53

Second feed of the night for us. She went an hour and a half this time between feeds and took longer to settle after the last one [hsad] fivers crossed we get longer between the next one

Smallgreenone · 25/10/2012 02:58

Welcome to all the newcomers.

Seems no matter what I do baby small wakes up at this time dream feed or no dream feed [hconfused] just wish we could get him to he a bit longer and then we might skip the 5 o clock waking which is my least favourite.
Seems like a lot of people are on the thread tonight, is there not an app where you can order sleepy dust?

funchum8am · 25/10/2012 03:28

Back again - let me know if you find that app, small...I will pay whatever they want!

Laughing at pod slough too! Welcome aboard, turquoise.

I was rooting for you there goat, sorry to hear it didn't last.

Babyfunch has her fiest cold so is breathing really loudly and.getting snot on me during feeds....bet this does

funchum8am · 25/10/2012 03:29

elvislives2012 · 25/10/2012 03:45

MummyVicky18 · 25/10/2012 03:51

Wow busy thread!! Welcome newbies

This is just a quick post, I'm so excited!!!! After a rocky start baby J slept from 10.30 til 3!!!! I got 4 hours sleep SmileSmileSmile
I have waited til now to post this as last time I posted too soon & I jinxed it and he didn't sleep but he is now fast asleep and I'm going back to bed.

Thank god after the last couple of nights I've had. So fingers crossed he stays asleep til 6 at least Smile

I'm sending some magic sleepy thoughts your way ladies hope the rest of the night isn't too rough xx

Clumsasaurus · 25/10/2012 04:00

Sad to patz , goat and smicha all missing your DM's - missing mine too. They usually come once a week but are on holiday this week and I miss them

Welcome to the newbies [hsmile] someone mentioned a cold flannel/full feed.... In my extensive experience of all of 10 weeks Confused overnight I just let babysaurus feed as long as he wants until he falls asleep and he tends to be ok...Hmm

funch I've just ordered a mei tai from eBay - not a brand name but will let y

Clumsasaurus · 25/10/2012 04:03

Grrr will let you know how it goes

Loving the food porn, I have halls soothers for company!

Susieloo · 25/10/2012 04:04

Welcome welcome, horribly tired and really praying we don't get up at five, am having a day at home today so I'm planning on ignoring all housework, well making a cottage pie, and testing all day, too shattered for anything else, will catch up on posts properly in the morning or i.e in one hourSmile

Clumsasaurus · 25/10/2012 04:05

WoohoomummyV great news [hgrin]

smileyhappymummy · 25/10/2012 04:13

Utterly knackered tonight! Every time we've put baby smiley down she's made really loud grunting noises - not cried and I'm not sure if she's awake or asleep, but too loud for us to get any sort of proper sleep. Has just done a mega poo hoping that will help.... But dh getting up for work at 6 so not long to sleep whatever [hsad]

rowingdowntheriver · 25/10/2012 04:13

Hi, can I join please? I'm up with DS2 who is 3 days old and looking for company to see me through the small hours whilst DH sleeps next to me!

funchum8am · 25/10/2012 04:17

Smallgreenone · 25/10/2012 04:17

Well done vicky hope you get another good stretch of sleep.
It's cold tonight and I've not put slippers on. Brrrrrrrrrr!
