How is baby patz doing mrs?

MummyVicky18 · 30/10/2012 21:22

Awwww sorry mtsnpattz & susieloo to hear about poorly LO's hope they are better soon.

Baby J has eczema on his legs. It was triggered off by Johnsons baby stuff. I have bad eczema and was really hoping baby J wouldn't get it. Hopefully he'll grow out of it.

Evilwater · 30/10/2012 22:18

I hope the babies get better soon. Sorry to hear things arnt going well.

MrsNPattz · 30/10/2012 22:21

susie poor little loo - hope he feels better soon. Little man is ok thanks, few coughs here and there but we still got a few smiles today [hsmile] he doesn't appear to be wanting to sleep any time soon though.........oooo American soda order - exciting! Roll on midnight so I can order more yuminess [hgrin]

TurquoiseFrankenCat · 30/10/2012 22:30

Bah. Not having a good day/night here. Think my let down is too fast so BabyCat is ridiculously gassy but can't bring anything up (or not enough anyway). So she's only feeding on the boob for 5 minutes at a time. So I expressed some milk and she's had less than an ounce. Tried giving her more and she's screaming the house down like its poison. So now I feel like a failure because she's not feeding at much as usual and that my daughter thinks I'm trying to poison her - so basically like shit. And I have a headache and I'm tired. Sad V V Sad

Sorry to hear of the sick LOs mrsn and susie - hope hey feel better soon.

Susieloo · 31/10/2012 01:32

2nd feed of the night involving a full change of clothes and bedding and a very cross baby because I didn't feed him immediately so he's shouted the house down. Cadburys giant chocolate buttons to keep me company tonight[hsmile]

Smallgreenone · 31/10/2012 02:10

2nd feed here. I think he's waking himself up coughing and is so full of snot he's struggling breathing a bit. Poor chap.
Glad your work day went well susie, I went into work too but only to show him off. He did well and was suitably cute and smiley.
Hope people are having good sleeps here. Would you rather win the lottery or have a baby that slept through the night?!

Smicha · 31/10/2012 02:34

Ha ha small good question! Money's no good if you're too tired to spend it!!

Sorry to hear babies aren't well Sad. I think mini smich might have colic as we had screams on and off from 5 until 9pm yesterday which we struggled to find a cure for. Managed to calm him and get him to do a long feed and he dropped off about 10.00. Amazingly he then slept for over 3 hours! He is still pretty grumpy and just screamed at nappy change, but this is better than the 1 hour intervals of the last few nights.

I'm off to introduce him to work in the morning. Hope he is cute and smiley too! It's an hour's drive away so quite a big adventure for us! I think I'll have to feed him in the car in office car park as I can't think of anywhere in the office that would be suitable and I'm not really comfy with whipping a boob out in front of my boss!!

I also must pick up some goodies for Halloween or I'll be that bad house on the street that gives nothing when the kids come calling! Going to dress mini smich in his skeleton costume and answer the door with him Smile

Ameybee · 31/10/2012 03:05

Sorry to hear about all the poorly babies :( so difficult when they are small! Small - have you heard of baby nose clear? It's a bit gross but basically is a snot sucker with filter / you suck snot out but it collects in a container instead of coming up tube! They are brilliant tho! When my first had bronchilitis at 5wk it was the only thing I could do to help her & it worked! Especially before feeds. You can buy from boots.
Vicky - I know what you mean about other mums - makes you feel like you're doing something wrong! I think its so bizarre to lie about it!!! I'm the first to openly admit how hard it can be!! These women who lie are sad!!
Well, I'm on 2nd feed, amazingly he went almost 5 hours - I hasten to add this was after 2 hours spent on/off boob cluster feeding plus a fair amount of screaming! Tends to all go wrong after 3am tho so I'm glad I got some sleep in early on!
Hope everyone gets zzzz! Xx

MrsNPattz · 31/10/2012 03:13

First feed here but he only went down at 11:40 - I wish when he falls asleep I could close my eyes and be asleep in a second! Annoying when he finally falls asleep and then it takes ages for me to fall asleep [hangry]

turquoise sorry you had a horrible day - I hope you are having a good night to make up for it!

It's finally pay day - off to spend!! I would rather win the lottery and do a couple of night feeds [hgrin] lol

HorridHeffalumpsWickedWoozles · 31/10/2012 03:19

Hi all, too bleary eyed for much but wanted to check in ad the thread moves so fast these days!

Sorry to hear there are still poorly babies, babylump has got snotty tonight so think we may join the ranks by morning. :(

Don't think I'm up to more typing, can't focus tonight. Hope everyone is ok though [hsmile]

MummyVicky18 · 31/10/2012 03:29

Yeah I'd take the lottery I could Angrypay someone to do the night feeds as well as pay off my mortgage Grin

Really struggling to keep my eyes open. Baby J went to bed about 8pm and so far has woke 10pm, 1am & 3.15 so no change at all

MummyVicky18 · 31/10/2012 03:30

There should be no Angry there lol

Told you I couldn't keep my eyes open lol

MrsNPattz · 31/10/2012 03:47

ValiumQueen · 31/10/2012 03:54

Hello all. Night six much better. Have co slept and slept from 12 to 3 which is the first night sleep either of us have had since birth.

We were at the hospital all afternoon yesterday as he has lost 11 per cent of his body weight. Trigger point is 10 per cent and no clinical signs of dehydration or jaundice and feeding well but they wanted him to have blood tests and admit us to observe feeding.

It is my third baby. I fed my others for 8 and 16 months respectively. I know how to feed and am not leaving two older kids at home to fret when there is no need. Bloods were fine.

They want me to express, measure, and give with bottle. Not happening. They also want me to top up with formula. Also not happening.

If the midwife had weighed him after a feed instead of after a wee and due a feed it would not have been 11 per cent so feel quite angry about the whole thing.

Glad to be home, and to have slept a bit. Will try to catch up on thread properly at some point.

Smicha · 31/10/2012 03:55

I spoke too soon...feed number two just sn hour after feed number one. I miss sleep.

NervousAt20 · 31/10/2012 04:07

Second feed of the night and BabyN went 3 hours so I'm very happy

Glad it's nothing serious with your little one mrsn but hope he's better soon

mummyv don't worry about moaning its what were all here for, MN has been great support for me in the past I hope you find it's the same for yountoo

turquoise have you tried offering her the boob you expressed off? The milk flow might have slowed down now its not as full and she could get a better feed? I could be barking up the completely wrong tree so forgive me if what I've said is complete crap

Haha small that's a very very good question!!

Glad your both home and well valium sounds like a very stressful afternoon for you

We're thinking of getting casts made of BabyNs hands and feet, anyone have any ideas how to go about this?

I have no visitors tomorrow so hoping for a very lazy day with LO and a book

MummyVicky18 · 31/10/2012 04:16

I squished baby J's hand into some clay at 3 months. Before that it was hard as he was still clenching fists tight. I just bought ordinary clay but You can buy special kits or mothercare seem to do something.

Well I'm stil here from the last time I posted think we've been up for about an hour now. Baby J had decided that he doesn't want to sleep instead he wants to look up at me with such a cute face and 'talk' to me as if to say playtime now mummy. I'm trying not to look at him Sad but he just looks so cute

Evilwater · 31/10/2012 05:00

Just pumped off 4oz. Now heading for bed. LO awake, but ok.
Evil.

MrsNPattz · 31/10/2012 05:02

Rubbish night here, he took over an hour to get back down earlier, then half an hour later is awake again just as I dropped off [hsad] he took over half an hours worth earlier and is now feeding again!

nervous thanks, I got hands and feet done at Morhercare - it was a bit traumatic but am hoping it will be worth it when we get the finished thing. I also got his nail imprint for a bracelet as he was too small for a fingerprint.

valium poor you! Glad you got home though.

MummyVicky18 · 31/10/2012 05:16

Hope you get some sleep evil & npattz

Baby J has finally gone back to sleep. So I'm running off to get some much needed zzzzzzzzz

MiniPopsMum2012 · 31/10/2012 05:42

Another poorly baby here. Poor minipop has a cold; blocked nose, really bad cough h(had to rush to doctors in case it was whooping cough), he's got a tummy upset & his teeth are on the move. As you can imagine, he's very grumpy & upset.

Sorry to hear there are other poorly babies susieloo & MrsN & Small It's awful isn't it? Feel so helpless.

I have five pages to catch up on :) I am always so behind. Hope there aren't too many rubbish nights tonight.

Smallgreenone · 31/10/2012 06:18

Seems there are a lot of suffering babies tonight. Thank you amey I will go to boots and look for a snot sucker this morning although we have a pathetically small boots so I may have to order online as live an hour away from a decent sized one. Baby small was up at 2 and then 3 and then 4.30 and now, I've had him in with me since 3 but its not helping as he's not hungry just the snot waking him. Oh well hopefully we can get our hands on a snot sucker today and tonight we will be snoring away merrily!
I think I'd rather have a baby who slept!

TurquoiseFrankenCat · 31/10/2012 06:22

Thanks mrsn and nervous - I got a 10 min feed at 2.3
