Baywatch babylon

velo I had a similar situation after a curry and I asked my hv about it and she said it wouldn't have made any difference!!

I'm not sure what else to do with babyloo in the day either, I dangle his Lamaze purple elephant at him and another light a bear thing but he's more interested in eating his hand!! What sort of music things do you do goat?

Feel better soon minipop colds suck

Hello and good evening to everyone Smile

Babyloo very awake today so went to bed at half seven and was just starting to move around about ten minutes ago so I'm attempting a dream feed, he refused to wake up at first but is feeding now so hopefully he won't be awake at half one out of habit.

My parents are having him for a couple of hours tomorrow for bottle practice while I meet some work friends for lunch, we are going to a French bistro we used to go to when I was pregnant and couldn't eat very much so tomorrow I'm going to make up for it with loads of pâté and cheese.

Have good sleeps all, hopefully see you back around 3 which would be a four hour stretch, here's hoping!

Susieloo · 08/10/2012 23:13

Should have been a big grin after baywatch babylon!!

HeffalumpsAndGoldenWoozles · 09/10/2012 00:21

First feed of the night here, DH has been downstairs since about 10ish with baby lump watching the snooker and just brought her up to me after I finally managed the nap I've been after all day. She's been very awake this evening so hoping that means more sleep tonight, ladt night wasn't good she woke up every single time I out her down so spent most of the night dozing with her on my chest.

funchum it was really straightforward to put together, I'm useless at that sort of thing but I did it myself in about ten minutes.

Hi milky :)

Hope all the bunged up noses clear soon, snotty babies are extra hard work!

funchum8am · 09/10/2012 00:35

Ok fed one side at 11 and she fell asleep and has just woken to have the other. I thought after 25 mins on the first boob that she'd be full but no - clearly she needs to stay awake for both if I want a stretch of sleep. Doh.

Thanks for the info re the troll cot heffalumps that may well be the way we go.

In the day she mainly sleeps at the moment but when she is alert I sit and make faces and talk to her. Can't wait for some smiles!

Goatbongosanonynous · 09/10/2012 01:42

Susieloo the French bistro sounds great and I am envious of the cheese! I always said that cheese was the one thing I couldn't live without, and what's the one thing that def makes a difference to Kid(not in a good way) if I eat it?... Hope you really enjoy!

Heffalump sounds like you have another snooker fan there, maybe a good way of wearing her out?

All these recommendations for little Ewan! I may have to try. Kid will not sleep anywhere but on my chest and has refused to do so since coming home from the neonatal unit. Any other suggestions for how I can get him to sleep, even if it's just beside me? He's getting heavy!

Baywatch is still around? Where? Where??

HeffalumpsAndGoldenWoozles · 09/10/2012 01:43

Back again, she only slept for 40 minutes :( woken by a pooey nappy so we've been down to change and now back in bed feeding and hoping she'll fall back asleep enough so I can put her down.

DD1 is at her childminder's tomorrow so I'm hoping after we get back from our coffee morning I can give baby lump to DH and get a decent nap in. He's been fantastic keeping DD1 occupied but I haven't had the heart to leave him alone looking after the both of them just yet so daytime naps have been rare. I think he's almost as knackered as me even though he's getting more sleep, keeping up with 2yo DD1 all day is no mean feat!

While I'm up I'm going to have a little look at this Ewan, how are those of you who have one getting on, is it still making a noticeable difference do you think?

MsInterpret · 09/10/2012 01:51

Also on boob number 2/2 after a pooey nappy rescued just in time before it tsunami-d over the nappy edge & up the vest, phew!

I don't know about Ewan the sheep but with DD1 we were given a bear called Prince Lionhearted (can find link if anyone interested) and it had a 'womb machine' inside that could also do static/white noise /waves/lullaby and record your voice. We found it v useful for first few months.

HeffalumpsAndGoldenWoozles · 09/10/2012 02:20

I'll have a little google for the lion too, thanks for the recommendation. Something's got to work! Currently sat with snoring baby on my chest and snoring DH on my legs. She's too snuggly to move just yet and he's just too bloody heavy! Quite comfortable for now though, am contemplating using these night times to start getting organised for the C word although depending on how tired I am it may be risky and people may end up with some odd presents.

goat its funny how they do seem to like it, DD1 was fascinated by the snooker until about a year old, we wondered if it was the bright green colour that caught her eye but didn't complain as it meant we could watch it relatively peacefully!

I'm jealous of your outing tomorrow susieloo, I am a cheese addict. Hope you have a lovely time :)

MrsNPattz · 09/10/2012 02:27

First feed of the night here, little man has been unsettled allllll day apart from a sleep on me this afternoon (I slept too and I secretly love this Smile), but went down at half 9 and only up at 1:45 for a feed so must have been knackered!

Hope everyone is ok!

funchum8am · 09/10/2012 02:34

Back again - I am paying for the peaceful day we have had! She has had both sides this time so hopefully will sleep for a bit. Hopefully.

What biscuits are in our virtual stash? I fancy a soft chewy doughy cookie!

Sounds like I need to get into watching snooker too!

I have started on Xmas - must resist the urge to present entire family with framed baby pics!

HeffalumpsAndGoldenWoozles · 09/10/2012 02:47

at soft chewy doughy cookie. Yum :) I had Rolo cookies today, they were pretty good. There's got to be a bourbon or ten lurking in the barrel somewhere too.

For DD1s first Christmas we got mugs made for all the GPs with her hand & footprints on, will probably do something similar this year for DD2 but not sure what yet. Even tea monster MIL can only use one mug at a time.

Oh yuck, DH has just rolled over and he's all gross and sweaty, how do they sleep like that?!

So, back to thinking of biscuits... Grin

MrsNPattz · 09/10/2012 02:59

Mmmm cookies sound good, although I just had some chocolate pretzels (very naughty for this time in the morning Grin)

It's funny as I am tempted to give everyone pictures of baby for Christmas too lol, new mums heh Smile

Susieloo · 09/10/2012 03:18

2nd feed of the night and timing was as predicted, think we will be back around half five.

Mmmmmmmmmmm biscuits......

My sil has given me a framed picture of my nephews most Christmas's and its been great otherwise I would never get an up to date photo of them because I don't see them regularly enough.

Babyloo not settling at all, oh dear.

missingmymarbles · 09/10/2012 03:30

3rd feed of night; the first being 11.30, which makes three feeds in four hours Sad Not amused, and knackered. Settling well only in arms/on shoulder/chest. Supposed to be having a girlie day out with my uni mates (we try and do this a few times a year) but I'm so tired.....
Hope everyone else having a better night.
Please send the biscuits this direction. And a virtual brew. Would love, but too tired for, the real thing.

HeffalumpsAndGoldenWoozles · 09/10/2012 03:48

I'm still up :( I think she's getting harder to put down, I held her for an hour tonight trying to make sure she'd be in a properly deep sleep but still 5 minutes after going back in the crib she's waking again, not even for a feed at first either, just wanting picking up again. Have woken her a bit more to make sure she does feed now so that hopefully this time she will stay asleep

mrsnpattzim jealous of your pretzel fix! DH bought me some dark chocolate pretzel flips yesterday, they were gorgeous! Wish I'd thought to bring some up to bed.

funchum8am · 09/10/2012 03:58

I am back, babyfunch up with her heaviest nappy yet and now feeding again though I think mote for comfort than hunger. It always sends her to sleep bit I never know if she is really full or not.

Dh is taking her downstairs to sleep for a bit so I can get a bit more quiet before next feed. Not sure this will achieveuch, she will still want feeding just as quick but I suppose I won't stay awake listening to her!

Now pass that biscuit barrel. I am starving!

Smallgreenone · 09/10/2012 04:02

Mmmm biscuits, I'll have a double chocolate cookie please if there is one. Or maybe I'll pass round my virtual bag of lindor chocolates which I am currently addicted to!
We're on our second feed. I kicked DH out tonight as couldn't cope with noisy baby sucking on my nipple and noisy snores in my ear from DH. So we've had the bed to ourselves and its been lovely. I only cosleep when DH is not here as am frightened of him squashing DS. Going to try and put him in his basket when he falls asleep as probably shouldn't get him too used to sleeping with me as I can't do it every night.

IShallCallYouSquishy · 09/10/2012 04:08

Am I allowed to join or is it too late?

DD 4.5 months woke me at 2, did 45 min feed then hasn't gone back to sleep! Cur crying from us both, DH taking her from me so I could have a few moments by myself, both of us calming down then more crying.

Now having another BF in the hopes it will make her pass out I'm tired and trying not to crySad

HeffalumpsAndGoldenWoozles · 09/10/2012 04:42

Hi squishy never too late (or too early!), there's always someone up! E have biscuits tonight too, what do you fancy?

Sounds like you're having a tough night, hope you can both get some sleep soon.

I've just had a little mini meltdown as baby lump woke up again after being put down only to fall asleep the second she was back on me again. I've not had a wink of sleep yet all night so feeling a bit sorry for myself & had a bit of a cry.

I'm getting a Ewan tomorrow. Please god let it work!'

Goatbongosanonynous · 09/10/2012 05:02

Welcome squishy - the more the merrier!

Mmm, can I have a chewy cookie too? White chocolate and raspberry if there's one. And a cup of hot chocolate to complete the choc fest. What happened to me? Pre-Kud, even all the way through pregnancy, I never ad a sweet tooth like this.

Extra rations for those having mini meltdowns. Sleep deprivation combined with what feels like constant feeding is a real downer. Hope everyone gets at least some sleep soon. Sleepy mice and drowsy dust all round.

Loislane78 · 09/10/2012 05:05

Ooooh, I'll have a soft chewy cookie if one's going spare!

Tonight is my first night of Ewan but I find it relaxing nevermind LO Grin

As predicted more feeding than usual tonight and just had to get up to deal with explosive poo, allll up the back, on sleeping bag, yep, nice! Luckily she seems to have gone off, we'll see when I do transfer to basket.... we're on 8 wk growth spurt here so good its over soon.

DP is back at work now and sleeping in our bed. I feel bad making noise and try to keep quiet so he doesn't wake up. I'm jealous of the snoring and sleeping through feeds but must be tough being tired at work. For this reason and the fact she's a little grunter, anyone moved LOs to own room yet - or thinking about it?

MiniPopsMum2012 · 09/10/2012 05:19

Morning everyone, wrote a long post during the last feed & my phone list it... Grrrrr!

SO so so tired, and feeling very sorry for myself, especially with this cold. Think I am almost on breaking point re lack of a new, too

have managed a 5 hour gap between feeds. But it took a lot of effort & sleeping on me to accomplish this.

13 minutes left then hopefully I can get back into my nice warn bed.

The hot chocolate bar is open. Who's up for a hot mug with whipped cream and marshmallows?

I will have a chocolate digestive please contact or maybe one of those m&S special cookies. :)

Have read all posts, welcome to everyone new. Xx

BabylonPI · 09/10/2012 05:21
