I am up again too - she went down beautifully with Ewan's help but woke up just now loudly demanding milk. Is there a 15 day growth spurt??!

Wecome not!

marbles that sounds like some good sleep. Glad it is going better!

smicha you have every right to be annoyed...grump away!

Susieloo · 20/10/2012 05:10

I've given up and come downstairs, can't face the stress of putting him back in his cot, I get back into bed, he cries, I get up and he falls asleep on me, I put him back in his cot and lather rinse repeat, dp is snoring his head off which is also really annoying me. I think he will be asleep again soon and then I'm going to attempt to get him back to sleep in his cot so I can try for another hour. Hate nights like this.

Goatbongosanonymous · 20/10/2012 05:11

Welcome not come and keep (relatively) sane with us!

Seems a real mixed bag tonight. We just went from 1:30 to 4:30 so another good chunk. Had a little bit of a dehydration scare yesterday as Kid was refusing to feed and being really fussy, and started to show signs. So we have spent ages doing a little and often and seem to be back on track. Except he has now yelled his way through this feed - as you said susie it's always this one!

MrsNPattz · 20/10/2012 05:24

Welcome not, my little one is 5 weeks tomorrow Smile

heffalump oh you poor thing - will you have the opportunity to catch up on some sleep today? How old is your DD?

We got another 2 hours.

MrsNPattz · 20/10/2012 05:36

susie that chocolate sounds amazing!! Where did you find it?? Envy

Goatbongosanonymous · 20/10/2012 05:45

I am really really hungry now that you have reminded me of susie's chocolate, mrsn...
Kid is happily asleep on me. Would I be a terrible mother to throw him unceremoniously onto the other side of the bed so I can go raid the kitchen? Grin
heffalump I hope your night has improved.

missingmymarbles · 20/10/2012 07:23

In with us at around 5. It is that feed for us too. I had a little sob at 5 and DH went to get her. We're up now. Despite being tired, everything seems better in the morning.

Notgrownupinmyhead · 20/10/2012 07:24

No bongo it wouldnt.Grin

Newboy has just fed again and back to sleeps. Dh woke for work about 4.30 but boy2 was whinging on and off from then til 5.50. Hes 1 and still a frequent night waker. Any tips on making him a heavier sleeper? Ive started leaving Classic FM on low in his room so he gets used yo going to sleep with noise going on as newboy will be with him in a few months.

Hope you all manage to sleep in/later on.

I work at a coffee distributor/roaster/wholesaler so should be given freebies to give to us all Grin

MummyVicky18 · 20/10/2012 07:26

Well Ewan earner ha keep a little this morning. He bought me a little bit more time before this feed which was great.
It didn't send baby J to sleep but it did keep him quiet enough for me to rest/ snooze for about another 30 mins

Lets all hope for a better night tonight x

MrsNPattz · 20/10/2012 07:29

Up again here but hoping for a little more shut eye after this feed.

Sorry goat, did you raid the fridge? I'm hungry too but think I would rather sleep than get food at the moment lol

Smallgreenone · 20/10/2012 07:45

DH has taken baby small downstairs so I'm going back to sleep. Sorry some seem to have had a rotten night, it was ok here so I'm feeling a lot better. Hopefully tonight will be good for all.

Susieloo · 20/10/2012 07:57

Chocolate is a pound a bar in the co-op, I have a co-op on my doorstep pretty much, this could be fatal!!!!

Goatbongosanonymous · 20/10/2012 07:58

mrsn I tried to raid the biscuit tin at the next feed, only to find to my utter shock and horror that there were NONE LEFT.

This was an emergency of extreme proportions and I must write a shopping list that ensures this never happens again.

Goatbongosanonymous · 20/10/2012 07:59

I have just found a bar of feijoa chocolate. I love feijoas but the choc is truly disgusting.

MrsNPattz · 20/10/2012 08:09

susie well you know where I am going today!! Grin

goat oh my gosh, an empty biscuit jar is against the law while breast feeding - get that thing filled lol

MrsNPattz · 20/10/2012 08:10

Goat sorry if i sound stupid but what are feijoas? Blush

Smicha · 20/10/2012 08:21

Mmm chocolate! Yesterday dh accused me of having a secret biscuit stash that I hadn't told him about Grin I wasn't intentionally keeping it a secret but now I've heard goat's experience of an empty biscuit tin, I'm wishing he hadn't found it... Couldn't cope if that happened! Wink

Vicky I think that's what we are going tp have to do, include time with dh in the routine or ds is going to really frustrate him. It makes me sad as although dh gets grumpy about the screams I know it actually upsets him as he wants to be as involved as he can. It's really tough once they're back at work, especially as my dh leaves the house at 6.20 to commute into London and doesn't get back til 8pm.

heff I really hope your day gets better. Last night sounds pants.

I'm still pretty rough with the mastitis, headache and baking hot and my boob is so sore, but hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon. My parents are now coming down for three days next week to help me out and I can't wait.

My boys are still asleep so I might take this opportunity to have a shower and try to feel human again. I don't know why I'm unable to sleep past 8 when I've been up most of the night, my body clock is wide awake at 8am...oh wait, ds is snuffling so I think I've missed my shower window!

Goatbongosanonymous · 20/10/2012 08:24

Oh sorry, not stupid at all, a blast from the other side of the world! A small green fruit that looks truly vile and tastes delicious! like this

I have these moments... A couple of weeks ago we were using the self service check out at the supermarket, I was looking desperately for the price of the veg in my hand. Can't find it, said I, whereupon DH inquired why I was looking under c for red peppers?... Well they are capsicums aren't they?! Blush

MrsNPattz · 20/10/2012 10:05

Ooooo interesting - not heard of those!

Can't wait to try the Oreo choc - hope they have it in Scotland Confused

Notgrownupinmyhead · 20/10/2012 10:33

Oreo Dairy Milk is rather lush.

I normally go to Poundland and stock up on the brown stuff there.

It doesnt last long.

HorridHeffalumpsWickedWoozles · 20/10/2012 11:58

I have Oreo pop tarts downstairs, I can see them getting scoffed today!

We got to bed at 3.45, slept to 7 when DD1 came in wanting to 'cuggle baby please'. Managed to keep my eyes open until 8 then got DH to take her out for breakfast & I got another couple of hours kip until babylump woke again at half 10. So eventually I did get some sleep but for so e reason I still feel shattered.

Visiting DHs grandparents today, can sometimes be hard work and in expecting a comment along the lines of "oh but you'll have to try again for a boy to carry on the family name" which will piss me off so will practice staying calm now! Has anyone else had comments like that when introducing your beautiful brand new little baby girl or boy? I find it quite hurtful like they are disappointed and my perfect baby girl could never be a disappointment to me in a million years. Probably I'm being a bit hormonal and over sensitive though.

Hope everyone's feeling rested & having a good day, will come back to catch up on posts later on :)

Susieloo · 20/10/2012 12:50

I'm becoming more and more sensitive about people commenting on babyloo's weight heff, he is a big baby for his age but I get really fed up of all the 'he's a chunk isn't he' 'look how big he is' 'he's a bruiser' etc. I was particularly put out when mil asked me to take some pictures and send them to her relative saying 'make sure you get in how big he is'. I'm being massively over sensitive about it but it really gets on my wick!!

MrsNPattz · 20/10/2012 13:39

Omg this thread is like food porn!!! LOL

heff where did you get these from?? Grin

HorridHeffalumpsWickedWoozles · 20/10/2012 17:54

mrsn same place the pretzel Flipz came from in town, its like a real life Honeydukes Grin

susieloo it can be upsetting when people speak without thinking can't it, both mine were big babies, DD2 9lb 8oz at birth, so sometimes get the 'chunky' comments too, I just say that means she is extra cuddly :)

twizzlestix · 20/10/2012 18:51

We've had a tricky few nights with baby Twizzle. Her sleep patterns have been 8-11, 11.30-1ish, 2 to 3.30, 4-5,5.30-6! I think the one hour sleeps are due to starting to feed for only 10 mins maybe she's not getting enough full fat milk and do needs milk more often? Any help or advice welcome. She's 6 weeks today.

Off I go to catch up
