missingmymarbles · 15/10/2012 07:03

We're up for the day

MrsNPattz · 15/10/2012 07:09

I'm hoping we're not marbles lol

Smallgreenone · 15/10/2012 07:30

We're up too although I'm hoping he'll go back to sleep, I fancy a lazy pyjama Monday! I think I shall try the wedges I've worn flat shoes since being pregnant and fancy a bit of a heel. I too have been spending a lot since giving birth mrsn however most of mine has been on baby small so I think I can have just one pair of boots.
Good luck on your own today heff I was daunted when DH went back too but now I quite like it on my own with my little friend.
babylon i really hope you manage to get some sleep soon. I would be crying too. Have you got anyone that can take over for a little bit?

Evilwater · 15/10/2012 08:21

Well a not to bad night, he woke up three times and settled relatively quickly.
I'm going to read the nights posts when I get him settled again.
Evil

MummyVicky18 · 15/10/2012 08:57

Hope you get the boots Hun it'll be in nice to get something you like/ enjoy for yourself. I know my spending has also been on baby j.

I've got a savings pot going so when I reach a happier weight I can go on a massive shopping spree Grin

BabylonPI · 15/10/2012 09:24

I gave in and had a big snotty streaming tears meltdown at 5.30am just out of sheer frustration.

I finally got him settled and got into bed at 6.37am Sad alarm went off at 7am Sad

I ignored it and the next thing I knew it was 9am - DH sorted DDs and got them to school on time leaving me to have a lazy morning with DS - so I'm still in bed Grin

MrsNPattz · 15/10/2012 09:30

Aw babylon hope you felt better after your cry! And enjoy a lazy morning in bed, just what you need.

Yes my spending has been mostly on little fella too or on things to do with him. He is a spoilt little man lol

We got another hour but are up now. I fancy a pyjama Monday too although might go for a walk later as I have run out of painkillers for head Sad

Do you have a link to the boots small?

Goatbongosanonymous · 15/10/2012 09:35

babylon sorry you had such a horrible night. Then hooray for your DH!

And yes to the baby spending spree - the combination of iPad and PayPal makes it far too easy. Oh, and nearly new sales (I mean during the day!) honestly, why am I buying books he won't be reading for another 8 or so years?!

MrsNPattz · 15/10/2012 09:37

Yep iPad and Paypal has been my downfall too Blush goat

Clumsasaurus · 15/10/2012 09:45

You poor thing babylon is there anyone who can hold the fort for a while tody so you can get some sleep?

I've had a spending spree too... I wonder if it's hormonal at least that's what I'll tell DH iPad and PayPal are a v dangerous combination goat it all makes it far too easy!

MrsNPatz - are you drinking enough? I used to get a banging headache and figured out I was dehydrated from BF and not drinking enough...

BabylonPI · 15/10/2012 09:54

Oh and Ewans batteries ran out too SadSad

BabylonPI · 15/10/2012 09:55

Im going to have a lazy morning in bed with DS Smile

I feel better already than I did at 5am.

Ho hum such is life hey Wink

HorridHeffalumpsWickedWoozles · 15/10/2012 10:50

susie & babylon so sorry you both sound like yiuve had especially awful nights, hope you can catch up on rest today. It's so frustrating in the middle of the night isn't it I've had a few 2am tears just through feeling so desperate. None of this is permanent, a full nights sleep (or even just a decent few hours!) is waiting for everyone in the not too distant future.

small are you used to wearing heels? If so buy the boots! I'm always in flats now as I can't keep up with DD1 otherwise, wish I could still wear some of my lovely heeled boots but I'd probably cripple myself if I tried.

Oh gosh vicky eBay is so dangerous! Especially in the middle of the night with no one to say no! I've bought many an 'accidental' purchase through lack of DH regulation! Grin

We've had a lazy morning in bed, my DM has taken DD1 for the morning so I have a slight reprieve until lunchtime before being left alone. Thank you all for the reassurances, I'm hoping to find you are all right & that some things will be easier after all!

Smicha · 15/10/2012 10:58

Babylon sending some hugs your way, sounds like a nightmare night. Enjoy your lazy morning!

Heff I'm starting my second week home alone after dh went back last week and it isn't too bad! I second what others are saying about there being more of a routine. I do need to get out and about though as I don't know many people where I live and family aren't close by, so I plan to check out some mother and baby groups this week. Last week the extent of my outings was the local Tesco and the midwife!

I was reading the thread through the night but seem to have got into the habit of lying down to feed and I can't type in that position! There's another new skill I need to learn Smile

How do I find the Ewan game? Is it only on iPhone? I'm on android and searched google play but couldn't find it!

MrsNPattz · 15/10/2012 12:36

clums I thought I had been, but maybe not! Will try drinking more, thank you! And I like the idea that spending is hormonal Grin

Goatbongosanonymous · 15/10/2012 13:14

babylon I am going to build a shrine in your honour!

Ewan just arrived and Kid just spent his first EVER daytime half hour in his mosesbasket!!!!!

I am going to run out of exclamation marks I am so excited.

Hope everyone has managed to catch up on some missed sleep.

HorridHeffalumpsWickedWoozles · 15/10/2012 13:54

Goat Grin at your exclaimation mark shortage!

My Ewan arrived this morning, I have already briefed him on his job spec and am hoping he will help with the 11pm to 2am slot where babylump has been very fractious the last few nights.

BabylonPI · 15/10/2012 14:05

Glad your Ewans have arrived!!!

Thank you for the virtual hugs, they're much appreciated Grin

Lol@ !!! Shortage!!
I just hope he does his work well Wink

Smicha · 15/10/2012 16:24

My Ewan didn't arrive today, I daren't go out tomorrow now in case I miss the post...I'm sure I used to get excited about clothing deliveries...now it's noisy sheep and the Tesco online shop that make my day! Grin

Goatbongosanonymous · 15/10/2012 17:11

Ewan ROCKS!!!

(squeezing a few more exclamation marks from the supply... Wink )

Susieloo · 15/10/2012 17:45

My ewan has arrived at my mum and dads so we will be trying him tomorrow night, anything to avoid the hourly waking!!! I managed an hours sleep this afternoon so feel slightly more human, dp is feeling sorry for himself because he is quite immobile so I can foresee some long walks in mine and babyloo's futureGrin

missingmymarbles · 15/10/2012 19:00

Susie, I think the growth spurt has begun. I thought it had a couple of days ago as there were lots of mini feeds but yesterday was normal; today we've done monster feeds virtually hourly. Hope it's not that way overnight.

Babylon glad you got a lid in this morning. Sleep deprivation is a killer. If I'm honest, and don't excommunicate me for this, but no matter how little sleep I get with Missmarbles, the quality us so much better than the WHOLE 9 months of pregnancy, that I don't find it that bad. I feel so much better generally with newborn than pregnancy. I do have particularly crap pregnancies though.

Grin at hormonal spending!! Also spent a fortune, but mainly on functional stuff for Missmarbles. Would love some new boots, but really can't justify them at the minuteSad

Need to get DD1 to bed. Will be back in the middle of the night but not always sufficiently awake enough to post then Smile

MummyVicky18 · 15/10/2012 19:11

Well had a very tiring day emotionally & physically.

1st off I was knacked from last night but got up and went out to get baby j's pic taken for local paper comp

After this the day went sour Sad

I found out my old boss was murdered last night in a pub fight. Don't know if he was involved or just caught up in it Sad he was such a good friendly boss. Sad I just can't believe such a good man has gone and the man responsible has left his 3 kids fatherless Sad so sad today Sad

TeaandHobnobs · 15/10/2012 19:42

Oh mummyvicky that is so awful Sad big hugs for you and thinking of his family Thanks

Susieloo · 15/10/2012 20:34
