Just a teensy weensy little question about periods... *slightly nervous giggle*

I can't believe I'm writing this post as a second timer, the shame!

Last time I expressed exclusively I only got just enough milk and my periods returned straight away... this time I'm doing the same but getting enough to feed 3/4 babies! I thought my periods would come back when I stopped doing an overnight pump, and everyone I know tells me that they only didn't get periods whilst their baby was having night feeds...

The slight worry is that I had a really light on and offy period - I'm quite sure it wasn't lochia as that turned lovely and brown (yuck!) and disappeared after two weeks, two weeks later I had a few days of bright red blood... and then nothing since and we were sort of naughty one time... (she's only 12 weeks old though..)

I hope MTS doesn't read this cos she'll laugh, I hope DH doesn't read this cos he'll laugh and then he'll scold me!!

I don't want to over-react and tests cost too much...

CaptainDippy · 09/01/2006 13:23

Should I refridgerate it!!!!?

mummytosteven · 09/01/2006 13:51

OK, I admit that I did think after I typed it that the being in the fridge thing was a spectacularly dumb question, as presumably when docs etc send off wee it goes in a fridge at some point! we need sweetkitty on this (she's a microbiologist IIRC).

Have lots of ((((hugs))))) if you're not having a nap at the moment.

julezboo · 09/01/2006 15:17

Jackmummy · 09/01/2006 16:40

Fastasleep....
I am in exactly the same position as you! DS is 3 in April and DD is 12 weeks on Friday! However I am currently in denial...
I had regular periods after DS, but so far nothing this time.
Now I've read this thread I feel I should do a test, but no morning pee in my fridge...
ahhh

fastasleep · 09/01/2006 16:42

You can tell by my typing that I haven't tested! I'm stressing out now!

Just don't put your pee in the fridge JM, they'll never forget sorry if I've sparked a bit of panicking over at your end! Can't hurt to do a test though!
