Just a teensy weensy little question about periods... *slightly nervous giggle*

I can't believe I'm writing this post as a second timer, the shame!

Last time I expressed exclusively I only got just enough milk and my periods returned straight away... this time I'm doing the same but getting enough to feed 3/4 babies! I thought my periods would come back when I stopped doing an overnight pump, and everyone I know tells me that they only didn't get periods whilst their baby was having night feeds...

The slight worry is that I had a really light on and offy period - I'm quite sure it wasn't lochia as that turned lovely and brown (yuck!) and disappeared after two weeks, two weeks later I had a few days of bright red blood... and then nothing since and we were sort of naughty one time... (she's only 12 weeks old though..)

I hope MTS doesn't read this cos she'll laugh, I hope DH doesn't read this cos he'll laugh and then he'll scold me!!

I don't want to over-react and tests cost too much...

I am now putting my pee in the fridge... I can't believe I'm doing this! At least it's in a sealed container! DH will be home at 4:30ish but he might be late cos he slept in so you'll have to just wait!

Like the name stinky :P what names are you thinking of for your mini weasel so I can think of a matching one just in case?... Have decided I'll have to work on a sex line from home while I'm exclusively expressing or something if I am! can multi-task and use my quiet avent pump at the same time!!

mummytosteven · 09/01/2006 10:03

silly question but could putting your wee in the fridge affect the result at all? ok first morning wee is more reliable but I think I would just do a fresh sample once the test arrives home!

if you do your sexline, you may find that there are some specialist types that just want to hear about you expressing anyway - you might have to use a noisy medela pump and whir it down the phone at them anyway....

////run and hide very very fast

CaptainDippy · 09/01/2006 10:33

FASTASLEEP HAS A BOTTLE OF PEE IN HER FRIDGE!!

Ahem.

Sorry about that - just couldn't resist!!

Eagerly awaiting the results of the refridgerated pee test!

Rhubarb · 09/01/2006 10:40

Hope it doesn't get mixed up with the apple juice! Have you labelled it properly "FASTASLEEP'S PEE PEE, DO NOT DRINK!"

CaptainDippy · 09/01/2006 10:42

ROFL - Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha!

fastasleep · 09/01/2006 12:46

Oh FGS at the lot of you.

Of course being refridgerated doesn't do anything. FGS.

No one will have chance to confuse it with apple juice. FGS!!!

Sorry Fastasleep! Only joking because I'm pretty sure that you're not, hope it works out tomorrow. Chill out a bit (like your wee is doing!), put on some nice music and relax!

starlover · 09/01/2006 12:56

i'm posting you a nice cup of tea and some sympathy right now!

fastasleep · 09/01/2006 12:56

I did just lose it with poor old DS again... I do need to relax... he's decided not to have naptime anymore but then still comes for a cuddle so I think he does want naptime and then he won't go to sleep and then DD cries etc etc it just always manages to make me the grumpiest person alive... I tipped him unceremoniously off the sofa and made him upset

OP posts:
starlover · 09/01/2006 12:57
